Title: Where to get ball drilled in Western PA?
Post by: DPK99 on April 17, 2006, 05:47:58 AM
I received a Track Slash for my birthday and I would like to get it drilled at an alley where they know what they are doing. Can anyone offer any suggestions on what bowling alleys in Western PA will do a good job?

Thanks!

If Berks Lanes, Sinking Springs PA is in the Western part, I would go and see Ryan May of May's Bowling and Billiards.

  • May's is very much in the eastern part of PA near Reading...so it may be a bit of a drive for him...but Ryan knows his stuff

    DPK,
If you are near Pittsburgh, then go see Michael Cimba at Nesbit Lanes. His alias here is Pba1g11. He does a great job drilling. You can find the address and contact info on pba.com, under the pro shop listings.

Check out Chuck Schommer (http://"http://www.goerie.com/tnopen/Chuck_Schommer_bio.html") at Eastway Lanes in Wesleyville, PA (east Erie).  He drilled several years on tour and has now settled down there.  He takes the time to watch you throw, discuss exactly what you want the ball to do on the lanes, and really does a nice job fitting.  He is by far one of the best in western PA.

And with the 24th pick in the 2006 NFL draft, the Cincinnati Bengals  select (http://"http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=116345")...

  • It's towards the east.  I know, because that's where I go.  Quality work.

I should have been more specific. I am very near Pittsburgh, so perhaps I will contact Michael at Nesbits Lans. Thanks for the help everyone!

Mike does a great job with anything.  But if you live in the South Hills area
I suggest Ed Duffik, at Playmore.  Great service and very fast.  All my equipment has been drilled by both of them.
