jls,

I NEVER said that the economy was struggling. I KNOW it is a challenge every day. I am in commision sales (no, not with Brunswick!!) and am feeling it just like everyone else.

But you still refuse to answer my question as to which 2 distributors are telling you that they do not sell to e-tailers.

You would rather insult mine & Ric's intelligence. That's fine. Your entitled to your opinion. There are several people on this sight that value Ric's & mine opinion. Being that we have been on every side of the pro shop business (pro shop operator's, ball company rep's & distributor sales rep's), we have seen and heard it ALL!!!

Have a nice day and go sell some bowling equipment!!!

Sir,  if you are in the business, then you and Ric already know who the two dist. are.

STOP PLAYING GAMES.

If those two dist. want their names mentioned,  they will do it.  For they do read from this site all the time.

Now as for insulting your intelligence!!!!  That's impossible!!!!

are we clear now

You and Ric are major game players.  This may fly with the groupies from big b.  But I sir,  could care less!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

again, are we clear.

BTW,  I believe you meant to say   "wasn't" struggling

jls,

just a quick question, what part of the country are you in? i know over here in R.I at my shop we are taking in more online balls now than ever. People are always trying to save a bucks, and our drilling rate is pretty competitive, so people still save buying online.

Chris,  how are you new ball sales tho.
Our new ball sales are decent,  not great, but not bad considering.
Also,  our prices are very much in line with online dealers.

Many of our customers see this.

But this is not about online prices vs pro shop prices.  It is about the fact
that here, online balls brought in for drilling were way off this last year.
And just about every pro shop I talk with,  feels the same way.

Chris, may I ask you,  what do you think when you here that a certain online dealer is now offering free drilling?  People don't understand, they are not making big bucks on these balls sold online.

The ship is sinking

The word I hear is that online sales are way off!!!!!
And the Dist. who cater to the big online dealers, are hurting!!!!
Mainly because they have to buy in such large volumns to be able to have the msde. to supply to the online dealers.
And now that online sales are way off,  the dist. are hurting.

So now we shall see how much longer these dist. will be able to supply the so called big online dealers!!!!!

Classic example,  one online dealer is now offering free drilling!!!!
Now lets if see mr Buddies will match that!!!!
Grasping at straws.

"every dist. that is successful does"

ya right

When these dist.  go down,  lets see who then supply's  the so called big online dealers!!!!!

Cal Bowling here in Vegas does have a store front now and does sell to anyone. They are rumored to be the next major distributor to shut down at least the Henderson warehouse.

They are offering anyone 25 to 30 percent off or more, ball drilling onsite now to boot.
