Title: Bowlingball.com drilling service
Post by: Boss_Hog on December 25, 2013, 10:09:54 AM
Anyone use them?

Got a gift card and was thinking about how nice it would be to have a ball ready to go out if the box.

I agree it would be nice to have a ball ready to go out of the box.  But it's very rare that this happens.  Most likely it will need to get some final adjustments which in all reality would be better to just get the ball and have it drilled at your local shop.  Unfortunately doing this will probably cost more(thats all I'm going to say) than if you buy the ball from your local pro shop.  If you need a bag or shoes, I would go that route with the gift card.

agree with Track_Fanatic, if you get a ball from online, search the closeouts, those might be worth while.

I also agree with Track_Fanatic.  Personally, I would rather have the shop that I go to drill anything I buy because my driller already knows the fit I'm going for and can adjust on the spot if needed.  An online shop can do a good job.  However if the fit isn't exactly how you want it, you're still having to go back to your own shop to have any changes made.

I know everyone is different .. but .. for years I bought balls (probable 70/80) on-line from ALL STAR JOE (Abucar) and the drillings that came with the balls was perfect every time .. guess I was lucky!
