Title: Buddies
Post by: CBB on October 07, 2016, 04:49:13 PM
Does anyone buy anything but balls from Buddies? I never hear anyone praising them for anything else. I see everyone sells the balls for the same price too.

I do. I've bought 5 balls from them and it was such a good experience that I suppose that gets the main credit, but I've also purchased shoes and frequently supplies. There's free shipping after $50, so I tend to make larger purchases, but have purchased many accessories as well, always top notch service. They've had two times over the years where there was a missed tracking update, but I discount that.
My favorite online dealer, for sure.

On another thread about 2 weeks ago, I stated that I just received my 1st order from Buddies---an assortment of tapes and cleaners. The prices and service were very good. I received the package within 2 days of shipping, and since my order was more than $50.00, shipping was free.

A nice experience.

Yes, I purchase items other than balls.  Just received my order today via Fed Ex for ball cleaner, 2 leather (Buddie's brand) ball wipe pads, and a moisture ball.
Whether it a ball, drilling service, or accessories Buddie's is AAA+.

I've bought everything bowling from them over the past 10 years or so. They have never let me down in price or customer satisfaction or quality or anything.

I order from everyone. Price is king to me.

Buddies, bowlingball.com, bowlerx, bowlersdeals, bowling.com

Bowler x has the fastest shipping to me. 1-2 days..

The rest take 4 days

Bowling.com charges handling but they have sometimes super cheap prices ....so I'm ok with that.

Got bad specs from bowlers paradise, cheap bowling balls.com charges shipping on some balls but not others...screw that.

Being in NJ, it takes one day for things to get to me from Buddies in Connecticut.
On the other hand, I just ordered some supplies from Bowlers Paradise; it took 10 days for it to get to me. It was so long (these days) that I had forgotten I had ordered it. They shipped via USPS, slow boat to China. They usually ship UPS; so I was surprised and annoyed.

I usually am loyal, but with MAP pricing and other regulations, why pay more or wait longer for your ball to ship?

Everything I order online, I order from Bowling.com. I live close enough from one of their distribution points that I always get my stuff next day.

I do order my finger grips from Buddies because bowling.com doesn't carry my brand. I don't use Turbo or Vise grips.
