United bowling
« on: May 24, 2003, 12:35:07 AM »
I was wondering if anybody has dealt with united bowling.com before.  I have talked to Doyle a couple of times about drilling equipment and he told me what all they had and the price was pretty reasonable for everything that I was getting, so I ordered it on the 14th of May.  After the 19th I looked at my credit card statement and he overcharged me by 1800.00.  I called him and he said that he was going to put the credit on it the next day.  Well it is now the 24th and still no credit or equipment.  He also will not respond to any of my emails.  When ever I talk to him it just seems like he lies to me anymore.  I am going to give in until Wednesday the 28th before I put a stop payment on my credit card and then start proceeding with fraud charges.  Just want to see if anybody else has dealt with him in the past.  If you have tell me about your experiences with him.  Are they bad or good.  Thank you, Derek

I too have had dealings with Doyle, at United Bowling. I had gotten a price from him on a balance scale, then I got 2 e mails that was saying the price was $50.00 higher.
I called 4 or 5 times to see about the scales, finally he did agree on the first price quote. The next thing was he told me to call back in 10 days as he was suppose to get several scales in. This went on for about 3 weeks, I called and he said the scales came in, but there was no weights on the 4 sets that came in, and he would have to order the weight sets.
I gave up and went else where.
You can reach Doyle at 877-861-1433 if you care to, good luck.

I finally got an email back from him today.  He told me it was sent out on tuesday and it should be here tomorrow or wednesday.  He also told me to call and he would give me the invoice number and tell me the tracking from the frieght company.  Also told me the lady who gave the credits was out all of last week and would credit my card tomorrow.  We see what happens I am a generous person maybe to generous specially after being ripped off by beach bowl slum shop.  I will give him till friday and I will also keep everyone posted as to what happens.  Derek

I hope I'm wrong, but that sounds eerily like Beach Bowl.

That's funny that you say it sounds like Beach Bowl because like I said before they tried to scam me to like others.  When I told him in a email the other day that I was getting nervous about my transaction with him because he is also in florida and Beach Bowl had attempted to rip me off he sent me an email with just these words in it.  Derek, I know Beach Bowl.  Now you think for yourself what that was suppose to mean.  Also I did get my shipment today and it only had half of the stuff I was suppose to have.  So I called him again and told him and he said he would ship it out tomorrow ups.  So the saga continues and I still do not have my order.  Getting really frustraiting.  I will continue to let everyone know about United Bowling.  Derek

Did you check with your credit card company and verify that you were issued the credit?

Update on this transaction.  It is now the 25th of june I have not yet received my credit or all of my equipment.  This place is very shady.  I have not sent the paperwork into the credit card company.  Doyle has lied to me just about everything you can imagine.  When the credit was placed, who placed the credit.  Items he shipped me, and avoiding all calls placed to him.  So I am asking for everyones help on where else I can post warnings about this place.  Thanks, Derek

Big Cheese, I agree with you on the Bowling Balls and buying from local pro shop but this was not a ball purchase.  This was a 1150.00 Pro shop drilling package that I was buying for my house then he turned around and charged me 2850.00 and is taking his very sweet time sending everything that was in the deal.  That is what I am warning people about.  I know there are people on here that look for drilling machines, scales and so on.  That is what United Bowling sales.  Thanks, Derek

Yeah, 1150.00 for a press, bits, scale, bevel sander, new 1/4 scale, span guages, pencils, brand new makita router, ect.  You can't pass on that price.  Like I said after over two months of emails everyday and getting on his nerves I have now received my credits, and now all I am missing are the pitch guages that he still owes me.  I have received alot of my stuff but I believe the only way that I received some of the stuff new is because he knows I saved all of my emails which I might add was over 100 of them.  I also put a stop payment on my card and was having the card company investigate him, But anyway from the emails and then from when I talked to him on the phone just about everything was a lie from when he put the credit on, who put the credit on, and when the items where shipped.  My personal best to let everyone know just how shady he is.  He owed me a 29/32, and a 1 1/4 bit.  So I receive a envelope and open it all that was in it was a 29/32 bit.  I emailed him and told him I did not receive the 1 1/4.  He told me I was lying and he sent them both to me in a box.  I told him I received a envelope that weighed 1lb, he said he don't send anything in envelopes and he personally sent the two bits in a box all by himself.  So I scanned a picture of the envelope.  5 days later I receive a brand new 1 1/4.  That is just one of the many stories and lies this idiot gave me.  So if you like to email and worry the whole time about a transaction you can deal with the dumb@$$.  Derek
