« on: August 21, 2008, 08:03:32 AM »
Hi!  Does anyone know anything about this ball, ie what company made it, where it was made, coverstock, core!  Any information would be great, just picked up the old ball, quessing it was made in 1968 from the serial #.  Any information is helpfull.  Thank you!

AFAIK, Jubilere was a small ball company (so it is the brand's name, not the ball's) and that the red one was produced in the late 60ies. The ball even saw use on the PBA tour. Not sure what it actually is, but I guess it is a polyester ball.

'68 rules out anything newer than urethane...

Polyester or rubber I'd guess...

Ask Ernie Schlegel, apparently he threw one back in the day.

That, my friend, is a real jewel. Jubilere's are from Sweden and are noted for being extremely hard rubber. That will make a great spare ball for you.
