Another Break story
« on: November 11, 2007, 12:54:05 PM »
Jay Heinzelman wins the 2007 LaCross fall classic tournament with the Break.  Used it all 17 games.

"Thanks everyone!  It's certainly gratifying to have everything come together for 17 games in a tournament that I've beaten my head against the wall on and off for about 10 years.

I tried my Special Agent up 2nd arrow with 50 ft of skid, up 4 board... once thru the nose and once thru the 3-6 pocket.  Tried 7-8 board... strike, strike, tried the Break, strike, flush strike, so I figured go with the shinier ball in hopes to not have to move as fast.  After 17 games I was standing in the same spot with the same target, just with speed and angle changes pair to pair.  (Lane 1 on Sunday I had to move 2 and 2 though for the lone exception)  My game is an enigma that way.  Most days I wish I had a wrist, but this weekend I matched up.

I drilled my Break pin over ring finger (about 65 degrees) for an aggressive ball to play deeper with.  I was able to do that in the CWSBT in Stevens Point on the Viperish shot that I played 3rd arrow with good success, then I guess it proved it's versatility this weekend.   I wanted something a little longer and snappier than my dullish Special Agent and it does the trick in it's 4000 abralon state."

I made the mistake of not carrying the break with me for two weeks, i shot 569 and an amazing 496 my lowest set in over 6 years.

Friday night i picked up a brand new Fury Pearl struggled for a game and half with it and few other balls. Finally went back too the break and struck out for 210 saved game 2, stay lined up and never miss the pocket game 3 for decent 222.

The Break don't leave home without it should be the slogan for it, so when you need a go to ball always carry it with you.

Btw i have been carrying my pin down 1k ball and still have a box finish 4k pin high one for later games. Everyone knows that i love throwing my newest stuff but i could go to the 2 Break's and a spare ball.
