Title: 299 with Solaris :)
Post by: RyanRPS on June 22, 2009, 09:23:43 AM
As I posted in th main forum, I just registered for USBC membership this week to bowl while in Vegas, and my 4th game as a member (and on a usbc sport pattern) i had 299 with my Solaris Pearl

Anyone who hasn't tried one of these yet should do so before they are gone forever

not sure i can post one from here, but its pin above the bridge, and cg at about 60 degrees.

Surface is "general wear and tear" after about 50 games and never cleaned!

Congratulations Ryan on your 299 game.

How do you find our American conditions compared to what you see in Europe?

The bowlers journal pattern is really flippin hard!  the 299 was pretty awesome, i threw a bunch of great shots plus also got 3 really good trips.  but for the 12 games i played on it i averaged about 195, and i average in the 190s over most of the stuff I play over here, so I would estimate that our conditions are similar to your sport conditions.  obviously we have conditions that are much harder (international long/short) but we also have league shots that are really easy!

i am really interested in playing more events here, and if we get some fresh conditions that will be cool!

Ryan will be manning the Seismic booth at Bowl Expo in Vegas!  I sure wish I could make it out there...maybe next year, I do have relatives in Vegas.

Congrats on the 299 on a sport pattern, Ryan.  And you're absolutely correct...those who have an opportunity to try a Solaris Pearl should do so, amazing ball.
