Probably because its like a private label for bowling ball.com

Azo already had theirs even though they are now for bowlersmart.com

And I think this forum is maintained by bowling.com a competitor? Idk just guessing.

Pyramid is a private label for BowlingBall.com, just like Elite is a private label for BowlersParadise.com; yet, Elite has its own section.

I'd suggest that when Pyramid gets big enough, starts sending their balls to BJI and BTM for public review, and has a large enough audience, then Ballreviews.com will have no reason not to give them their own sections in the reviews and the discussions parts of this web site.

I personally would like to see it. Had the Blood Moon and Blue Print. Liked them both!

You're right Charlest. I forgot about elite.  It's troublesome enough for them to update new balls, let alone new forum sections lol

I have 3 or 4 Elite balls and like them very much.
I just got a Blood Moon and a Path Rising.  The Blood Moon is too strong for what I'm seeing now but will probably drill the Black/Silver pearl Path Rising in the next week or two, just to see how strong it is and if I can use it on all the dry I'm seeing right now.

The difference is Elite/BP and Bowling.com have an agreement for Bowling.com to sell Elite products.

If you want a Pyramid section you have to ask for it.  Asking here is not going to get that done as the powers in charge don't spend much time here and read posts like we do.

I've started several forums by making a request to
info@ballreviews.com

Just sent an email and it would probably help if more were sent:

Hi,

There seems to be enough posts in the Other forum to justify starting a separate forum for Pyramid brand bowling balls.  Also, there is a topic started that is asking for that already.

Although I don't buy or use Pyramid, there seems to have been many topics posted about their bowling balls which should be consolidated together for those seeking information on that brand.

Thanks,
MI 2 AZ

Another thing:

Anytime a new ball is released, it helps to send the ball's specs and pictures to that same address I listed above.   Sometimes, they don't get the info from the companies and we, the users, can help by sending it, especially if you know the ball has been released but this site has not started a topic for it in the Ball Reviews forum.

I did get a reply about adding a Pyramid ball review forum.   Here is a copy of my email and their reply:

We have been looking through this request and unfortunately we are not going to add this separate forum at this time.  With this brand being as private as it is we do not feel it should have its own section at this time.

Thanks

And yet we have a Faball forum (which died a long time ago), a Morich forum (Morich is also now gone), an AZO forum (which has died a couple of times now), a Lane#1 forum (which seems to have all but died), and an Elite forum (which is also a "private" brand), but no Pyramid.

Wonder if it has anything to do with bowling.com sponsoring this site by having ads running here, like the banner at the top where you can win a bowling ball?

As big a fan as I am of Faball, lets face it, they're dead and all but totally irrelevant in todays bowling world. Let them go to the "others" forum, clean out the cache, and use the bandwidth for a Pyramid forum.

 Or not.

Bowling.com doesn't just sponsor the site, they own it.  They don't sell the Pyramid brand.  Comparisons are being made to Elite as they are a private label for BP.  Elite ships orders for Bowling.com every day.  And while I'm not up on the current arrangement, for many years a good chunk of the profits on those orders was kicked back to Bowling.com for advertising on their site.

The Pyramid brand is a private label brand for Bowlingball.com, the largest online bowling retailer and biggest competitor to Bowling.com.  How is it hard to understand why there is no Pyramid section.

Well, it isn't when you have all the information. I figured it had something to do with the affiliation between those two, just didn't know the depth of the relationship.

If I owned the site, and had a deal with a private label company, I would also be hard pressed to give "free airtime" to a major direct competitor, especially when there are plenty of other subjects to more than keep people busy with.

Thanks for the input and the info. Makes much more sense now.
