It depends on the conditions you bowl on. You could pick almost any other ball outside of urethane that's not another Twist.

One of my kids is a high revver who has a Pink Widow Pearl, Twist, Storm IQ Tour and 900 Global Zen Master.  Either of those last two are a suggestion, but it is really condition dependent. Ask 10 bowlers and you’ll get 9 different recommendations and probably at least one person that rants about urethane.   ::)

I’d lean more toward the IQ Tour than the Zen Master, it’s more of a benchmark ball.

The Zen Master and Pink urethane both really dig in and have a tough time staying right of the headpin if lanes are dry, but that’s when the Twist should get thrown.

Any of those are tough to pick up 10 pins with unless you’re really good at taking hand out and cranking up speed.  Adding a plastic spare ball is a good idea too but you’re asking for a 3 ball suggestion, so Pink, Twist and Storm IQ Tour.

Hard to not recommend the traditional

High end solid assym: 900 Global Reality, Proton Physix, Jackal Ghost, Radical Maximum Results
Mid range pearl: Hy-road, Bigfoot, D.Good Verge Pearl, Track Kenetic Platinium / Black Ice

I tend to think that super high end stuff is not necessary, and personally do not need it.

My personal pics:
Most conditions you could get away with a Phaze 2 and a Hy-road and call it a day with very consistent reactions.
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

What some seem to be overlooking is low speed and rev dominate.  IMO, anything low RG (2.46 - 2.48) is going to be a direction I would not go in.  You dont really want the core to overpower the cover.  What I would recommend is a Scorpion by Hammer.  The cover has some strength to it, comes at 2000 abralon, but the RG is 2.52 at 15lbs.  A ball to complement it would be a Hyped Pearl.  It also has an RG of 2.52 and would fit right between the Scorpion and Twist.  So......

Hammer Scorpion
Hammer Black Widow Pink Urethane
Roto Grip Hyped Pearl
Brunswick Twist

I don't know if you already have it or are planning one getting to build around, but a really strong urethane looks like a terrible match up for a slow speed rev dominant player.  My team mate for the winter is a huge urethane guy.  The Purple Hammer is his mainstay.  The Pink is quite a bit earlier and stronger.  He's a higher speed, higher rev rate guy than me and even for him it was too strong for most conditions.

I had thought about posting a similar comment on how strong a ball the pink urethane widow can be, but figured you had already bought it.

My older kid is a two handed lefty and he worships at the altar of the Purple Hammer.  He has two of them and throws one or the other of them probably 70% of the time, so his arsenal is definitely built on that ball.

His righty brother got the pink widow urethane and they both have commented that it is a stronger ball than either of the purples hammers.  Similar shape but it starts a little earlier and covers more boards.  It is not as controllable and a bad choice on dryer conditions. The core is a big part of that but the OOB finish is also rougher than the purple hammer.

The pink widow has tamed down a little bit from OOB condition with some with lane shine but is still a very early and very strong ball. The pink one sees a lot less games than the purples.  Both kids throw a bit harder than 14 mph too.

So +1 that a purple hammer may be a more versatile option to plan an arsenal around.  If you are set on the pink, have at it, its a great ball and my younger one is still learning when it works and when it doesn't.  But, I’ve heard several different bowlers all comment that they were taken aback by how strong the pink can be and had trouble keeping on the lane when first trying it.
