Title: Genesis Bowling Balls
Post by: lincolnrw on January 24, 2011, 12:07:59 PM
Spent the last week trying to aquire on these balls for the heck of it. Seems after 6 e-mails with

someone named Paul Park, who by the way was very punctual about returning my emails, i got referred

to torchbowling.com. They are the distributor for there equipment. Sent multiple e-mails with no response.

If torch bowling was as punctual as Paul i would be purchasing a few to try. I am always interested to try

something new and would love to see some new companys. Tried Banger bowling, Insite bowling, seismic

bowling and absolutely love visionary balls.

There are a number of ball manufacturers that consider customer service and product information as unnecessary. Their target market, therefore, does not include bowlers who prefer to make informed decisions. Apparently, they hope to gain a foothold through impulse buying, and sometimes this works very well.

They may have a good products, but one has to wonder if doing business with them is worth the costs that ignorance often extracts. Even an inexpensive ball purchase adds up to about $120 after drilling. Personally, I don't recommend spending that kind of money on "maybe / maybe not".

There are many other companies that offer full information, worry free warranties, and immediate customer service and support on their products.

Looks like these guys are finally getting started in the U.S.

Saw these in my local pro shop last night. I'm having the Igniter Blast punched up and will give my opinion of it after throwing a couple of games.

Good looking balls if nothing else.

According to my pro shop guy, this is Sam Baca and Galen Gentrys new venture. These are no filler balls like the old Lane Masters/Legends balls. The core looks to be a modified version of the Visionary core and is asymmetrical. They are being poured by Visionary.

I like the look and numbers on the Burn. Could be interesting if they actually get started here

They are started. My pro shop is drilling me one today. I'm not a staffer and have no connection to the company other than knowing Sam Baca, Galen Gentry and Noel Vasquez. I'm getting it from my pro shop.

It looks similar to the Centaur, http://www.123bowl.com/ball.cfm?ballid=2739 (http://www.123bowl.com/ball.cfm?ballid=2739) and the Warlock DC cores.

The Centaur and Warlock DC cores are really good. Jason Wonders once said they can change where they place the flip caps and the densities to create different core numbers and change the shape of reactions. With the one release being a symmetrical core, it would be like the Ogre line of balls, which was really good as well.

Milo, thank you for your post. Hopefully you like how the ball reacts for you. All of our ball testing and demo sessions have been very positive so far.

Just wanted to clear up a few things regarding any of the information that's been reported.

Galen is a personal friend of ours and has helped out from time to time in an advisory capacity, but does not currently work for us, though who knows what the future holds. I do know he is a stand up guy and would not want any false information out there about him.

Sam Baca does work for us, mainly on the chemical side of our business (Next Gen Bowling). However, given his vast knowledge, we would be foolish not to listen to his expertise during the testing of our bowling equipment.

Noel Vazquez is our National Sales manager and is in contact with pro shops on a daily basis.

Until we get our website up and running, please visit our facebook page to keep up on the latest for Genesis. facebook.com/BowlGenesis
