Help Identify this Ball
« on: May 25, 2022, 07:22:20 PM »
Hello. Found this ball undrilled at my local goodwill. There were no other markings on it besides this logo. The Pro shop guy at my bowling alley can't identify the band, and Reddit also came up blank. The only comment that stood out was a Wilson brand from the 1990s but I still have not been able to locate it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt it's Wilson, their "W" logo goes the opposite way.
I think the logo is actually oriented differently than shown in the photo.  Perhaps it's an E, 3, or M rather than a W for example.
Regardless, I've looked every way I can think of with Google lens, and came up blank.
Sorry

Went to league last night and showed it to everyone and posted to our bowling alleys facebook page. No one has heard or seen this ball.
I've been asked if it is plastic and it is not. I also had a comment that it might be a ball from overseas.

Thanks for the help.

The swirl pattern matches the old Columbia 300 white pearl.    I believe that is a "W" since the serif projects from the lower left stem.

The logo is not a bowling common logo and is likely a special order engraved ball like they used to do for some big tournaments or events.

I thought the non-W portion of the logo looked 'hockey-ish' but googling hockey logos didn't reveal anything.

I'm going with that being an "E", because the rest of the logo doesn't make sense if it's not. Orientate it where it reads as an "E" and the rest of the logo becomes a person. Round part is the head, and it's facing you, so the left arm (right when facing) is going up and behind like a right-handed bowler's off-hand does in the delivery, and the right hand (left when facing) is delivering the ball.

Come on, it says right on the label. It's  a Goodwill Electrical  ;D

The logo is an Active West logo. Active West used to own a number of bowling alleys on the West Coast. This just looks like a house ball from one of those long-gone centers.
