I have one as does my whole team on my scratch league(the maker is local).  The ball itself is great, I almost shot 300 with it in the first 4 league nights that I bowled with it, shame you don't get anything for 280+ games.  I couldn't answer you as to what makes it better then another brand or if it really is better, but personally I've had great success with it.  I still say balls are less of a factor compared to how a ball is drilled.
