i personally haven't seen this ball but i saw a picture on the internet and it looks clear... is it really kind of clear or is it a solid color?

The ones I saw where I bowl around 1996 give or take a year or two were both red ones and black ones if I recall right, but I could be wrong on the color.

If I remember correctly, the core used in the Robby's Axle pretty much looked like a wheel on an axle. It supposedly had a weird roll. The later core in the Red Wolf was beefier, with a thicker axle and a smaller wheel.  That version was more successful.
