KINETIC - Official Thread
« on: December 25, 2008, 03:13:30 AM »
Hello all,

I thought I'd start a thread that we could answer any questions about the company and products.

As you've seen already the current ball is the Solaris. Its a low RG, medium differential core - its smooth and revvy and coupled to the strong pearl cover makes it easy to get to your breakpoint with a strong dependable move off it.

If you have questions about us in general post here. If you have questions about getting hold of a ball, email us directly on enquiries@kineticbowling.com

We're working right now on getting the website online, we'll let you know when its live.

Merry Christmas all,

Dave W.

after talking to Ryan, and then the R & D guys in S.A. the Solaris uses the S-70 pearl cover, same as on the Break Pearl, so in a nut shell, it uses a symmetric core, by the numbers little earlier than the BP with much the same motion as the BP, same price range, I had a case as of 5pm yesterday, now I've got to order more. Geezz what a bad deal, lol

Appreciate your help answering the questions Steve. =]

Guys, as far as availability goes, we need your help in arranging that pro-shops can get stocked. So either ask your pro-shop to email us (address below), or send us their email address so we can ask them directly. That would be a great help.

As far as test staff goes, we're not really too worried at the moment. We're looking to get the balls into the hands of as many pro-shop owners as possible with a little introductory offer, and they'll be our sales people if they like the ball. The bonus is they're usually respected as the most knowledgeable people in a bowling centre. Its a lower risk than giving a lot of free equipment to players who we don't know.

That's not to say that down the line we won't be looking for players who can win tournaments with our gear. So if you can wave some shiny trophies under our noses you have a better chance. We do have a few European Tour players throwing the ball, one of whom i'll not name unless he uses the gear in competition, but we're extremely excited that he's agreed to try the Solaris!

I know you have mentioned for us to try and get our local pro shops to order the balls for us, but I cant even get them to get us some 900 global balls.. there is one shop that carries them in my area and he is taking advantage of the situation and I "will not" deal with him.. so is there anyone you can refer us to?? as for free bowling equipment as staffers are concerned, I myself was not asking for a freebie, just wanted to know if you were going to give any deals on the balls in new areas(some of the first guys to get them..) thankss for your time and happy new years!! be safe everyone!!  slashrr69

Why do you need the customer's help in marketing your product?  Do your
job and get the pro shops yourself.  Again, what is the suggested retail
price and what is the availability in Las Vegas?

After talking with Ryan if you are a pro shop use the link to contact Ryan in the original post, balls are being made available for the USA, and can be shipped from TX. If you are an indivudual looking for a Solaris I can most likely help you out. I'll have several more cases being delivered early this week.

Where can I find the video? You've said it is poured by 900 Global. Is it a 900 Global ball or another company?

Go to youtube and type in, solaris bowling. The reaction on this ball is wicked in the video!

what is the suggested retail for these, and can we expect to see them
on buddies or other net shops soon?

RRP is $199. We are waiting for a reply from Buddies, and yes they will be available via online pro-shops. I believe that Steve from http://www.leadingedgeproshop.net is charging $150 shipped via the net. (Correct me if thats wrong Steve.)

WHAT DRILLING YOU HAVE ON THAT BALL IN THE VIDEO?

Its drilled 4.5" by 65*, or 4.5" by 4". Theres 0.25oz of positive side weight. Cover is box condition. Lanes were 39ft, medium volume, with about 6 games on them.

That's not exactly what I meant. I meant that if a potential customer reading this thread wants a ball, then they must notify us of their local pro-shop. Otherwise it might take longer than the customer wants to wait to create availability in their area.

the ball looks great. I'm glad to see that AMF/Global900/Kinetic are going to continue the great bowling stuff so many people have become fans of. I'm a big Track fan from before the buy out and just haven't been pleased with the new stuff. It's nice but it's Ebonite it's not Track if that makes sense.

I'd like to see some of the old core in new stuff that were used buy columbia/amf/and track. ebonite still uses a lot of their old core but for some reason don't like looking back on some of tracks great core designs. Just food for thought.

(granted almost anything can be thrown into a ball and get similar or identical RG and dif) lol

You are correct, I bought one from Steve. $150 shipped for a NIB Solaris from tekneek(Steve). Can't wait to throw it.

Can someone post a video if they get a chance. I would love to see this ball on a few more shots.

Thanks

I would if I had a video camera. Nor Cal Bowler or bltbyj have one and I will be bowling with them on the 17th of January. I'll see if they can videotape some shots of us with it.
