Look out for a new ball coming from Nu Line. I have tested this ball and it reacts like the X-Factor or Freak Out on acid. It is smooth as silk up front and strong and fast on the back end. It holds on pulled shots and corners hard when you miss right. It covers up for miss hits at the bottom of your swing. I have thrown strictly Track balls for the last 5 years but this may be the first non-Track ball to make it into my arsenal.

Track/Columbia does not own the Nu-Line name anymore. The person that created Nu-Line is Steve Cooper and he owns it again. Here is the thing. I tested it against the Threat, Revmaster and Hextreme. The pearlized cover allows for more hold than most covers and the core is so strong that it drives around corners even when I missed off my hand. I tested it in 5 different centers all different lane conditions and that is what I saw. Maybe you guys have not had a ball that was that forgiving but this is my second one in 6 years. I admit you don't see it often but it does happen.

I agree that forgiving depends on a lane condition (does not have to be a wall), and our definition of forgiving may differ. If a ball mixes things up on light hits and carries the flush shots really well that's forgiving. If a ball hits the dry and does not turn on a dime but has enough guts to make it back with enough hit to carry, that is forgiving. If a ball rolls in the oil down the middle on a house shot and does not leave numerous flat tens, that is forgiving. Even on a flat condition if the ball backs up and still mixes things up enough to carry, that is forgiving to me. We will agree to disagree on this topic. I have bowled enough sport condition tournaments, leagues and house conditions to know when a ball rolls great and this one rolls really nice.
The ball is called the "Triple X".

If Nu-Line has been bought from Track, I think it is important to their future to advertise that fact. (Here might not be the worst place.) I just went to their website (http://www.nuline.com/home.cfm) and saw it had not been updated in quite a while. The main home page header still reads: "Nu-Line is proud to introduce the X-Celerator." Does anyone know if they changed their webpage url?
FYI Guys, some balls are more forgiving than other with respect to pull and swing area. That is just a fact of life. Variations in covers and cores will make that true for a certain range of drillings and releases. True, no ball is totally forgiving on every oil pattern for every release, but the degree of forgiveness is greater, to my mind, than many of the previous replies seem to indicate or believe. It's all a matter of degree.

I believe there are more forgiving balls than others.
Usually cover differences, core strength differences(a red pulse vs
a Dynothane Elixer, .20 diff vs .60 diff), and drilling differences, stacked vs other!
When I had a Revolution Rebel ECX I had great luck with it and that great coverstock N'control Powerstock. A friend of mine used to call it my self correcting ball. Yes, I believe there was some crown but this ball would back off on pulled shots MORE THAN OTHERS and recover better than others on wide misses!
I believe the Inferno has more correcting ability than other balls also due to unique coverstock.

A couple of questions? Is NuLine going to go and get PBA certification???
That would be great as I still have the Virus and Deadly and really like!!
Concerned about getting too into them if I decide to advance to regionals with their current not approved status!

No set date for release. I was told it will be released in the next couple of weeks. He is getting the ball ABC approved as we speak. I am not sure if he will be getting approved by the PBA. I think everything is still in the infant stages but when I talk to him I will ask and post replies.
