Urethane ball for $80 nice.  Can't recommend Pyramid enough (my Path spare ball is way more durable than a $40 ball deserves to be).   Probably going to regret getting a Hustle Ink instead of Pathogen solid in the end.

I wouldn't, hustle ink is one of the truly special balls

Just concerned may be too weak for me on fresh but yeah so many great balls so little shelf/garage space left.  That pathogen for under $90 is a steal but so is the Hustle I guess.  But neither here nor there.  This is already the ball I would recommend for most people as their first urethane on price alone.  That core sure hits a ton in my Path Rising.

I got a prerelease of the "Pathogen Plague", got it drilled Wednesday.

I only had a chance to roll one game (League coming in) to check the grip (I made grip changes and used a new P.A.P. location).

But it looked good, the lanes had some oil, had a few strikes and nine counts, a couple of bad shots getting used to the grip at the start. But I was just hitting a few different lines to see whats what.

Stood right went down about 5, ball picked up the midlane and started angling toward the pocket & "X". Stood 25 and went between 2nd & 3rd it went out a little to the track and started angling toward the pocket & "X".

I'm low rev and When I rolled it through the oil in the middle, It came back with about 3.5" flare.

This may be the first urethane I get.  Ima huge fan of the pathogen, I haven't had people EVER ask "what ball are u throwing" as much as the pathogen.  Yeah because of the loud color, but it seriously carries really well.

My order for that Hustle ended up getting screwed up so I canceled it.  Went to buy a Pathogen and lo and behold only available if buy the X also as a combo (no longer available stand alone from bowlingball.com).  So finally settled on a Cyclops for my medium RG, mediumish diff ball (Buddies has for $80 currently).  Very versatile as well.  Still would have been nice to have the green machine.  Guess that is price to pay for such an affordable urethane option.

Okay my first look at the Pathogen Plague Urethane.
Fresh oil, 41' THS pattern, Pro anvil lanes

Here you can see my basic ball path (basically the same shot as in the video), I stayed there the whole night. The shot really didn't change for me. If I pulled the ball, it would hold the line and didn't jump off the end of the pattern. I'd go through the nose (the splits seen below) or just go Brooklyn for a X or the 6-10 leave.

If I leaked out the ball had more recovery than I thought it would. Considering my low revs, I got a good 3.5" of flare as you can see in the picture below. I either got pocket or the two washouts or the 2-4-5 on the leaked shots.

My speed was averaging about 14.5 at the pins (max 15) the whole night.

Third game it really started coming together, I really focused on what I learned the first two games.

IMO the Plague looks to be a good solid urethane, It had a good solid roll into the pins. The ball had what I'd call the classic 10 in the pit strikes, where you see the pins get blew back into the pit. As far as corners I only popped one 10 pin and the two 7's.

I'll try to get some video when I can, I couldn't really set it up this night.

Click the weight button.  Got me excited and then only 13 came up at least for me.  Oh well.  A day late etc.  They should have another benchmark out at some point soon.  Maybe they will go pseudo retro and re-release the Blueprint again.

Hmmmmm........

Now it comes up as sold out. Period.

That’s strange. Worked fine before, with several weight options.

Sorry for the confusion.  The Pathogen Plague was never sold out as that was just released.  I was just whining off topic about the original green Pathogen solid now being sold out.

No problem. I bought the green solid when it first came out, was and is such a great ball that I ordered another one as backup. for the price it can't be beat, very controllable ball on THS
