Pyramind bowing...what is going on???
« on: September 05, 2015, 11:52:40 AM »
They were supposed to release 3 news balls the first week of August and it's now September and still no official news as to when we will see them...does anyone know what's going on?

The Pyramid products are very good performers.  The only thing I have found (my experience is with the Pyramid Chosen Path orange/smoke) is that the covers require way more regular maintenance than other brands.  Matte/dull covers (such as 2000 abralon)shine very noticeably after only 3 games.  Cleaning after every set is crucial, and retouching the surface every 15-20 games with the abralon pad helps keep the reaction consistent.

Maybe I will do more research.  I want a ball that doesn't require that much maintenance and has a predictable roll.  I don't care about hooks.  I care about scoring haha.  I need to practice some on the lanes I plan to join a league for next year.  It would be funny if I show up with a Pathogen, Viz-A White Spare Ball, and Black Widow.  I will have the most unique bowling balls in the entire league.  And then I take out my Quantum Helix... lol!

HAHA!  I might be one of the only guys in the world with both Quantums in nearly mint condition.  Actually one isn't even drilled.  The other has only been used a few times.  In a house fire, I go for the family photos, computer hard drive, and the Quantums.  HAH!

All I can say is wow. Got my blueprint project and 620 first set, 704 second night. In my opinion, this ball keeps the pins low when going through. Noticeably lower than my crux or other stuff. Will definitely get another pyramid ball. Just curious if there are longevity issues.

Did you find this ball  to have more overall hook than expected?

I loved the Blood Moon and like the looks of the Blueprint. Hoping this guy is going to trade me his.

Yes, the overall hook, especially in oil was stronger than expected. A little angular, but strong off the spot in the oil. Very predictable.

The Blood Moon is very, very predictable and smooth off the break point. Sounds like a good 1-2 punch.

Pathogen is awesome looking. Got mine as soon as it was released and also picked up the dark path hybrid black/black. I must say they remind me of the way motiv makes there logos. Everything looks laser scanned and nothing is engraved, very impressed. Going to drill both up for second half of the season which starts after Christmas. Seen that the blueprint is only $89 now, I think I will order that one too.

A friend of mine got the Blood Moon on my recommendation for the Intro price about a year or was it two ago.  I haven't even drilled mine!

He Loves it and uses it almost exclusively.  After the initial 6 months or so he claimed it was dead!  We gave it a single adrenaline wipe and he uses it almost non stop.  His occasional other ball is quite a good one....The Marvel Pearl.

At this point the Blood moon is the winner of his affections!
