Shout out for my "JETS"
« on: October 31, 2011, 10:43:33 PM »
No, not the crappy Rex Ryan team.........

Have 2 of them
Pin up and 4000 dull for my THS on some old wood lanes, very predictable, good length and does not jump when it hits the friction. At 4000 polished, it is a bit over/under.
Love this ball on this shot.

Went and just drilled anothe one pin down for my short - sport patten we are on.
I expected the same predictabilty and i got it, this one was at 2000 dull last week and i took it to 1000 for this week on the modified short pattern.
Just a bit to weak off the spot at 2000. but very predictable.
It is one of those balls that you always know where it is going once it leaves your hand.

higher rev player - 375+
lefty
4.25" x .25" up PAP

cant wait to try the other Jet equipment

Armor & Surrender are both great balls as well. Surrender is a little stronger than the Armor but not by much! Just wait & in about a month or so Jet will be releasing a Real Heavy Oil Monster!!!!

Drilled my test ball for the next release. Can't say a whole lot about it, but it hooks and I am looking very forward to it.

Also, if you feel the original Jet is just not enough at times, the Armor is 2-4 boards stronger. Nice step up.

That was my next question, how much stronger is the Armor and Surrender compared to the Jet?
Do they both take to surface changes well?
What conditions are you using them on?

Armor and Surrender are both stronger than The Jet. Like Whitt said, the Surrender is a tad bit more than the Armor.  Both take to surface changes very well.  I took the polish off of my Armor (pin below bridge CG out a tad) and it matches up great with my style.  I'm still playing with the Surrender (Pin up CG out) at the moment but man does it roll well.  I'm stoked for the next release!

I joined the JET crew as well
where did you get the pic of the logo

Would you say the surrender is a medium ball and the armor is less than that?
I'm trying to gauge how strong these 2 are
I dont need stronger equipment, thats what attracted me to the Jet in the first place
weaker, medium, even rolling is what im after
I know I can drill and surface to achieve those, but i want to start out there also
is there any track or roto equipment you can compare these to?

The logo is my own creation.  I've made several, this one is kind of my favorite right now.

As for comparing to Roto or Track, I've only thrown the Roto Grip Cell and Cell Pearl.  Loved both of my Cells, but they are a completely different animals.  I guess I could somewhat compare them to the Cell solid just because of the smooth reaction, but the Cell is "stronger".

The great thing about all of the Jet balls is that they never overreact, all of them are smooth as butter and rip the rack.

My cousin has the Surrender & I have the Armor. His has pin below ring with cg kick with weight hole. My Armor is drilled partially through pin with cg kicked a little with weight hole. My cousin's Surrender is about 4-5 boards stronger than my Armor on a Medium condition but that is also based off drillings. I play the lanes completely different than he does as well. I've shot lights out with my Armor on Medium conditions & I've also shot a 662 with my cousins Surrender on a Medium condition.

You would be fine with either ball on a Medium condition IMO of course & then just get the OG Jet for the Drier conditions
