jls, something far better has arrived than anything coming out of the Storm plant or the Ebonite Plant it is Revalation! from Insite. No Crappy Storm Cover or wussy Ebonite cores.

Storm coverstocks are the best coverstocks out on the market in my opinion.. Long and strong and very versatile..

And yeah, I do know it all.. I don't spend 30+ hours a week learning more about bowling for my heatlh... I do it so I know more than all of you.. which I do. (besides the random few that are staffers/work in the bowling business.. which that population is decreasing little by little)

That core look very interesting.
I wish Mark good luck in selling at those prices.....a bit too steep for my wallet!
Paul, is there any news on whether Mark will try to have this made by Visionary at a later date, or if he owns the molds and can look at having it produced by another company?
I understand if the question is not something that can/should be answered here, but I'm curious. The core looks promising and the Prophecy has been a good ball.

From what I understand Mark does own the molds and is going to be looking for a new partner to make his balls in the future.

SIR, not knocking their quality, just asking who???
and if ebonite is not making them, nor storm, let me guess, are they being made by our friends at the big B? or the viss.
now as for the other 2 models i mentioned.
it seems that there are a few bowlers familiar with them.
personally, i really can't understand how anyone can say that coverstocks
made by ebonite or storm are crap.
last time i checked, ebonite products seem to be "a" selling!!!!
NVS, black widow, black widow pearl, toxic, doom, anger, gamebreaker, resurgence, and now the rising.
this is your idea of crap???
well then>>> crap it is.
sure seems like a lot of bowlers must like bowling with "name brand" crap.
so, crap it is.
i saw that this ball is selling for $230 shipped, to the public.
i believe it sells for less to pro shops. so i give this company credit, if they are selling direct, they are atleast not selling at the same price or below, what a pro shop buys the ball for.
wish them well.
have a nice day.

visionary made not brunswick
-
and if it needs reminding, the high cost of this ball is due to the extremely low production levels...only about 100 made, I think, correct?
It's not like Insite has been selling all their balls at this price. Normally, they were around 110-140 shipped.

I have watched my friends Storm and Ebonite covers crack and die i.e. Paradigms and Ones, Hammers Covers are of Hammers own desgin as are Track's and Columbia's just as Roto's Covers are different from Storms.
And be easy man, I can't have an opinion? I don't understand why?

mainzer, you can have an opinion. however ebonite's sales have probably never been stronger. i seriously doublt that if their coverstocks where that bad, that their sales would be this good.
but you still have the right to your opinion!!!!
mind is simply base on sales and performance.
in my just over three weeks in the pro shop business, i have found that balls that perform, usually sell well.

I have a bad taste in my mouth with Storm and Ebonite, Storm I have used and just not gotten any results with from Erasers to the Vertigo I have given their gear chances but I have had no carry with them and I have had other equipment simply run their stuff. Ebonite on the other hand I have watched alot of people use around here and have been unimpressed,

My thing I guess no harsh feelings.
