First of all, one of my favorites is back on the roster... ROBERT SMITH! Let's see what he has done in his time off.  Hopefully we can see some great players on the telecast this Sunday (they are all great, but you know what I mean).  Also, it is the longest pattern of the year - 50 feet.  It almost looks like the US Open pattern but just 10 feet long on the backend.  I know I couldn't do well on it.

Tommy IS the premier player on tour. After 10 titles w/2 majors he's already bound for the hall of fame and definite potential for being the best player of the decade. Three years ago I said he's going to be the next Mark Roth of the PBA, even with the parity of the game today he still can dominate. He's done so much in 3 seasons it's been unbelieveable. He will be the frontrunner for POY next season. Despite some of the downside of the second half of the season he still ended up in top 10 in points and had a pretty good season overall.

Brian, I agree with everything you said. He's the best player ever on TV as he proved it again today. Next year he will win POY again.

If he would just shut his mouth maybe I could stand him.  Possibly one of the most annoying high pitched voices.  Oh and watching all those junky strikes wasn't exactly entertaining.

Whenever they say power wins over finesse I cringe.  Oh well.  I guess that's the flaw with bowling these days.

Just admit it, you like Tommy Jones, you envy his NV, you love his machine like hook into the pocket, your ears love "come ON!" and "yEAHHH!" and "Let's GO!".  The master is back and he isn't looking back.  2008 is the year of the Jones. Just kidding, but no seriously, TJ is God.

Boring?  I watched every second.  It was one of the greatest exhibitions of perfect bowling of the season.  Tommy Jones had like 7 straight both games he bowled and had like 535 for 2 games.  That is insane on a 50 ft pattern.

Did anybody go to the early rounds at Bradley Bowl? Did the pattern play differently there? It looked like the straighter guys really struggled on the show, yet they put up some big scores at Bradley Bowl. Thanks.
