2006-2007 Predictions
« on: July 03, 2006, 02:04:41 AM »
I figured we could all have a little fun and make some predictions for the upcoming season of the PBA tour.  Any predictions at all should be interesting, mine are as follows:

- Kelly Kulick will make a tv show but not win yet (she will gain exemption for the next season though)
- Sean Rash will win at least 1 title
- Parker Bohn III will come out of his slump and make more TV shows
- Mike DeVaney will win a title this year
- Brad Angelo will win his first title this year
- TJ will have a good season again but will definitely be slowing down (although I predict a win at the Japan Cup again)
- Walter Ray will beat Earl's record
- Chris Loschetter will win his first title

Please post more, I love PBA buzz...

My guess is that Randy will not be coming back for commentary, I was pretty sure that this is the reason that Norm Duke and Jason Couch were guest commentators the last 2 events of the season.  I enjoyed both but I was really into Couch's in depth commentary:

*TOC Championship Match*

Couch:  "And now, Steve needs to figure out if the ball slowed down because of friction or if he actually threw it slower"

Randy:  "Thats a great point Jason"

I talked to Randy yesterday at an Eastern Regional.  He will be back for commentary.  He is also Storm's newest Sales Rep for the Southeastern market.

Great to hear that.  Randy is one hell of a guy.  He was part of a clinic near my house and he remembered me from the TOC, took me and my g/f to private lanes and helped me with my game for over an hour.  That's one of the things that keeps me into this sport, most of the pros are very helpful and do take the time to talk to their fans.  Special thanks to Jeff Carter for being great to all of us on these boards and sharing his insight.  Good luck in 2006-2007

Hardcore bold opinions right here:

Tommy Jones repeats as POY
Patrick Allen will remain best lefthander on tour
Tony Reyes won't make the tour after this upcoming season
Ritchie Wolfe will make the tour again after this season
Norm Duke wins a major (but not Masters, see below)
Danny Wiseman gets 2 wins, one of those including winning the Irving, Texas tour stop
Brian Voss will win 1 title on pattern D
Kelly Kulik will make it as far as Round of 16 one time yet not make the tour next season
Walter Ray Williams will not get a title this season
Parker Bohn III will not get a title this season
Michael Haugen will finnaly get his first win
An amatuer will win the USBC Masters
No perfect games on tv
Overall averages will be a little lower then last season

LOL! No hate intended. I like the kid pretty well. Nothing against him. I just think he'll make a lot of cuts and cash quite a bit, but he won't make it past the round of 8... Just a prediction.

I'm rooting for all the guys everyone thinks are "boring".  So Scroggins (both), jaros, Steelsmith, and all you non-TJ hooking bowlers.  Good luck to you!

I'm always rootin' for Steve Jaros.  And Rick Lawrence, though Big Rick's not exempt anymore.

Scroggins (shutters) 2 titles
Richard Wolfe 2 titles
Another lefty 1 title

Tommy Jones wins the Worlds
Walter wins the US open
