Man what happened to PBIII in the last game Sunday
« on: February 18, 2007, 11:54:41 PM »
Was reading on the I noticed that PB only shot 169 his last game, and only missing the pocket twice.  I don't have ESPN so I missed the show.  Did he have lots of 7's or something?  I know shooting a 169 he had to have an open or two, did he have a blowout 7-10 or something?  Even with that 169 he averaged higher than anyone elses score.

So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.

He wiffed an 8 pin. he wiffed a 6-8 aswell. and on top of that, he didnt get all the strikes he could have, when PA pretty much did...

I was at telecast.  I still don't understand why he changed balls on the left lane for that last game.  It looked like he could have moved right and picked up his speed a little.

His carry wasn't as good as in earlier matches.

Fun show to be at live!

JMORRIS, they made mention of him going to that ball because of his preference to play a straighter, harder shot where the ball wasn't going to overhook.

He actually looked good with whatever he was throwing on the left lane in my opinion.

I was only watching on TV, but I agree with JMORRIS. I think the ball change got him. He was barely tripping the seven on the left lane, so it appears that's what made him switch to a less aggressive ball. For his efforts he then started leaving the seven instead of tripping it out. Couple of taps, missed single pin, 6-8 split & done.

I think that single pin pick up would have kept the momentum going...
