i think he is an amazing bowler, with amazing form. he seems calm in match play, and just made DJ Archer look like his b!tch. think he can make it to Barnes???
-
yeah, i just watched that. hmm. snag a 3-6-7-10 split but leave a 3-5-6... if he can pick up the strike pace, and cut out the "oh thank god" pinfalls he's gotten on 3 strikes (lucky kickers at the last moment) and i think he can keep striking.
-
WHY is it necessary to smile? He's out there to COMPETE, not be a grinning fool to try to appeal to never-satisfied idiot fans..
-
I'm going to agree with gripitandripit. Realize this is more like a job to him than it is to most other joe bowlers out there. If you had a $100,000 pay check hanging on a strike versus an open or even a low count spare you might not be smiling either.

Once I figure out how to get this ball to throw itself, I'll be all set...

bad breaks in the end of MK's game, and walter goes on to win it. its always great to see WRW bust up on Barnes!!!!

mika always looks like business. hes a tall guy as well, i am sure that when he starts stringing them up its a very intimidating sight. just ask Archer...

J Mac - How so? "I'm going to agree with gripitandripit. Realize this is more like a job to him than it is to most other joe bowlers out there." Are Allen, Archer, Barnes and Williams doing this for fun?
And the "lotte" or whatever it is that Pederson and Ryan ramble on about gets old real quick. He should speak English or the PBA should pay him in Euro's.

@ junior pro...SO WHAT????
-
In response to the original post - Mika didn't make DJ look bad, DJ made DJ look bad.

"It's a shame a family can be torn apart by something as simple as a pack of wild dogs."

Yep. DJ didn't need any help in that area...

I saw him shoot 118 followed by 128 in match play in Tacoma.
Today it looked like he was holding the ball in his backswing for a good step and a half.
Some days you got it, some days you don't. I remember the first time I bowled on national TV. It was TERRIFYING - even though at that time most folks had never even heard of ESPN!!!
-
the more i watch this guy, the more he seems to have 'that edge'. some of you guys can talk sh!t about him being too serious... i could care less. let's see you make all the TV appearances this guy has made.

Mika "the machine" Koivuniemi might make BOTY at this rate!!!
-
DON .. I agree with you .. MIKA is great .. he knows what has to be done and HE DOES IT! BOTY isn't going to be easy to pick at this point .. WRW is just getting going .. have to respect him .. Mika has been going good .. he's there every week and is producing .. have to give him credit for that .. I still think WRW is going to make a BIG CHARGE!

about The Walter... i couldn't agree more. as far as clutch play goes, he has it down pat. i figure we will see these two face up in TV match play (does not have to be finals) again this season. any takers on that bet? at this rate, it might be a deciding factor.
waliczek has been making lots of finals too, but he crumbles like a sugar cookie as soon as the spotlight hits him.

If I was a pro, Mika would be the one that would scare me the most. The rest of them are good, yeah, but Mika is so freakin consistent, the guy doesn't make a mistake.

Mika is a great bowler there is no doubt about that. What
he has acheived this year alone proves that.
I just don't like his form at all though. He has almost
no kneebend and he always lofts the ball. Before you
guys start tearing me apart read the first couple of lines again.
His form is not what I would call great but it definately works
well for him. When he is on the show I tend to not watch it.
