« on: July 15, 2011, 01:54:36 PM »
Killing me!!! Didnt win a title, Maybe 3 shows...I think, What did he win for???  Most broken Water bottles?  Most Youtube Videos???  Mika wins TOC makes every other major shows and doesnt win?? Barnes Triple Crown, Oniel atleast wins Viper, 2nd in World Championship, and makes US Open Show.  SMH  Think Tom Clark is setting somewhere pressing vote on Belmonte saying "this will help us get ratings!!"

Raceway Lanes FOREVER!!! ROYAL PIN You ARE WHATS WRONG IN INDY!!!!

When I saw that I too was thinking WTF?  Mika should have won, hands down.  Not only did he win the biggest prize ever when he took the TOC, he ran away with it dropping a 299 along the way!  Making TV on the rest of the Majors was impressive alone and was a 10 pin spare from winning the US Open.

I don't hate Belmo, I think he's a great promoter of the sport, but come on...

Simple. Just like they/The PBA pushed the "conflict" from Rash yelling at Belmonte all over the place including emails. They are now pushing Belmonte to be the future and face of bowling. I'm sure the PBA and ESPN think he is the only chance at getting interest in the sport.

Anyone remember when he first came on seen and they interviewed  PDW and others saying "two handed" bowling was the next evolution of the game and it was going to change bowling for ever. Really? Looks like the two handers are going to take a run at WRWJR and his titles too? No likely. Sometimes you can have too much.

Just a lame attempt and saving their sport they are working so hard to kill.

Be good, or be good at it.

The ESPYs is a popularity contest and each winner is voted on BY THE FANS,
sportswritersbroadcasters, sports executives, and sports persons. Award winners have been selected exclusively through online fan balloting...

It has NOTHING to do with the actual achievements of the winner.  Just ask Kelly Kulik.

Belmo IS getting more kids bowling.  In the past league season, I have seen the number of kids throwing 2 handed double.  Kids who probably would have quit bowling.  He is a young, fresh face for the PBA, well liked for the most part.  With a lot of well known elite bowlers are hitting close to the half century mark and will be on the Senior Tour, it's all about marketing to the target audience.

If that is the case, then there won't be any tour for these kids to bowl on.

"Pretty women make us buy beer, ugly women make us drink beer"
Instead of "A Future For The Sport", it really should be "A Sport Without A Future"

I think the kids will do just with the USBC.

I use whatever ball works for me.

I would have voted for Bill O'Neill or Chris Barnes with Mika behind them.

I can't wait to see O'Neill win poy next season.

wow. this is like yao ming being top vote getter every year for the NBA all-star game. or the PBA / espn fixed the result to make Belmo the top heel, like in the WWE.
