Title: Big February on ESPN PBA schedule
Post by: billdozer on January 24, 2017, 09:30:30 AM
PBA is going to be on ESPN more ? That's good news for me, I think that's awesome.

The down side is, i always belmonte is good for ratings..And he isn't making shows per usual. Makes me worry the pba will lose spot on ESPN

Do u think?:

The PBA ratings will continue to do well with him out of the picture?

Is the new poster boy EJ (repping Indiana!-My home state!) Good for ratings or no?

Trying not to stir the pot, but EJ seems to be the man now!

Belmonte isn't making shows because let's be honest, only the young can throw a consistent 2 handed shot. The contortion of the body to throw 2 handed is not something you can do with as much accuracy and power as you get older. When Belmonte started on tour I said the same thing. It's just coming to fruition.

Seriously?? Look at the tour now compared to when Belmonte was dominating. There is a big difference in the shots getting put out with the modifications they have made. There is less stand left throw it right as the patterns have gotten tighter.

Anthony Simonsen is a perfect example of a 2 hander having success the past year as he doesn't get around the side of the ball as much as Belmonte.

What else is ESPN going to put on that gets more eyeballs on a Sunday in February? NFL and college football are done. No MLB yet, NBA tends to play later in the day and until March, I doubt college basketball gets enough attention to warrant all 29 ESPN channels having a game on.

The same ESPN that had 3 hours of drone racing last week and the week before it was world of War craft computer game championships? Always blows my mind how some of this stuff gets on but not bowling

Probably more money in Drone Racing and World of Warcraft to be won then in bowling these days. More sponsors=More $$$.

And they feel the same way about bowling. The exception is those guys make more money than "pro bowlers" it probably time to come down from that ivory tower.
