Just saw choogs and Ronnie Russell are leaving the DV8 brand.   Who would be the next pros to jump on board

Ronnie posted on his facebook page and Choogs posted on his twitter account about it.

Both with very classy remarks for the brand so i'm wondering if they chose to leave or were given a lot of notice of not being renewed?

Can't completely tell. Are you guys being sarcastic, or are they being respectful on there way out?

You would have to assume that the decline of television opportunities is going to have an effect on the number of staff positions for all companies.

I assumed from RR's Facebook message it was his decision, but with the way TV is going it is going to be difficult for the $1000/month type of guys to get that $1000 a month.

If you're sacrificing performance for possibly a $1000-a month (your numbers) a majority of the guys, due to minimal amt of events will choose performance...in the long run they will be sacrificing more

So these two pros don't think they are getting as great of performance from solely throwing DV8 as they do from either "mix and match brands" or another company soley?

Without talking to or working with either of them, can't make any assumption in regards to motives or choices made

Obviously being a free agent has it's benefits at times, but these are usually offset by having more equipment at your disposal, having things like ball reps that give you more attention, and being paid.

With the PBA tour being narrowed down to an almost regional event I can't imagine how hard it is to stay a float.

Brunswick appeared to have one of the largest staffs imaginable in the late 90s of PBA, WPBA, and SPBA staff members. Id love to find a picture of the old poster for Brunswick that had them on there. They eliminated almost all of them. I think it was a sign of changes to come. Over the years others have done the same.

As a player you have to look at whats best for you and move on. If its with one brand or using multiple.
…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

I know which picture you speak of...it was in the office, I would say it was like just over 20 and yes it was dismantled in the late 90's
