The Women's group of pros is very talented, although multiple newbies have their 1st title so far this year, 5 wins out of 7 stops. Impressive
-
Plus a 2nd Place finish at the opening event at Las Vegas after Zavy dominated during qualifying but made some horrible shots in the championship match.
-
Not only have been winning a lot on the womens tour, but I am pretty sure the last two Xtra Frame stops have been won by EBI and just recently the Senior US Open.
-
Barnes won Lubbock, hes on 900 Global sorry.
-
Correct. Previous 2 events were won by Cristian Azcona and Andrew Anderson. Barnes got all 3 in the 10th frame to win which was clutch. A missed 7 pin earlier in the match came back to bite young Jakob. The Rhodman Pearl is the hot ball lately. Mine is on its way!
-
I'm loving the PWBA right now unrelated to any ball company. I hope it keeps alive. EBI has definitely went after the PWBA hard with contracts.

YouTube is where it's at. Just watched Mika's final match for the senior US open this morning. He definitely still has it. I've always enjoyed watching him

You love to see that because I guess he has had bugaboos at clutch times in the past. One of the all time greats and from what I understand couldn't be a nicer guy.

The balls have finally come around the last few years. I'd put EBI equipment up against anyone right now. When the blue paradox came out, they really turned the corner. Add to the fact one is able to pick and choose amongst the 4 brands, you can find any ball for the right condition. People just need to give them a chance. I guarantee you'll be impressed.

Personally I don’t look into which brands are winning week to week for either the women’s or men’s. Any pro with any of the top companies is going to just be good that’s why they are where they are.
I would bet, if you gave all the pros the same 3 balls and had a tournament, more times than none the top names would still come out on top.

WINNER! WINNER! WINNER!

And you would lose that bet. Bryanna Cote was a virtual non-factor, signed with Storm and shes not only making cuts, but making shows. A lot of people, amateur AND pro, like to see certain motions. Certain companies match certain bowlers eyes as far as what they want to see on the lane.

Cote also moved down to 14 pounds from 15 pounds. So it is not just the switch to Storm that has made her a factor this year. In her case, she made more than one change.
But I do agree that matching up to equipment is a very personal thing and will vary from person to person.

The pearl Hammer has been on my radar for quite a while. It appears it would give me a 21st century urethane option and a complement to my OG Hammer arsenal of the blue (1994), black (1991), and burgundy (1994).
I suppose an argument can be made about EBI's success thus far on the PWBA. I would venture to say the Rob Gotchall-Josh Blanchard combination as ball reps has been a plus. Even so, Erin McCarthy was long overdue. Jordan Richard is a budding talent. And Shannon O'Keefe is good enough to win using a house ball.
Did anyone notice that Liz Johnson missed her first PWBA cut?

Talk about a cherry picked stat.
EBI has been successful in wins. 3 of the top 5 in both earnings and points are Storm. Not sure how “dominating†that is for EBI.

Youll see this guy is an EBI groupie and wont miss an opportunity to show us that.

Anyone ever consider it's not the equipment…. It's the bowler?.
Typically whoever has the most bowlers under their brand usually ends up "dominating" said event. If Belmo or Liz Johnson win tournaments X, Y, and Z using A, B, or C what does that do for me? Considering I throw it nothing like either, and don't bowl either tour… I'm guessing nothing different then any other brand.
I loved Brunswick for years and switched to EBI and noticed zero difference. The only reason I switched was for a little more variety across 4 brands. If I went back to Brunswick brands there would be no issue. If a company makes bad equipment they will be out of business quickly these days.

+1.... Well said.

As you would expect, Liz is always a factor and didn't miss the cut by much. The shot was inside, which doesn't favor her game. Still, she didn't miss the cut by very much.
I'm just fortunate that the tournament was only about 15 minutes from my house and I got to watch the extremely talented ladies bowl for two days ;D

+1 also. Have good balls from all the major families I enjoy. As Dylan said
Advertising signs that con you
Into thinking you're the one
That can do what's never been done
That can win what's never been won
Meantime life outside goes on, all around you

Unless I get paid by someone I will stick with Roto Grip and Storm!!
-
A string of really good bowlers matching up shapes with the brand is all. The GB2, Rhodman Pearl, and Rip'd Solid have been the really hot balls and matching up with the patterns. Its all about shapes and angles.
-
Rhodman Pearl is rediculous. Now that I have more games on it, it hooks a lot more and reads stronger in every part of the lane than when I got it OOB. It reminds me of a Vapor Zone. An all time great.
-
I have seen and known quite a few players helped and hurt over the years by staff affiliations. It was eirse in the 90s. I knew a couple of guys that got hurt on AMF. Not so bad today where everyone seems yo have some good stuff
-
The Rhodman Pearl is something else, that's for sure. So clean up front and a ton of motion downlane, but not angular, I was not expecting that, It's a touch over/under at times for me, I may need to either scuff it or put a lower grit underneath the polish. I can see why the Pros are scoring with it.

So true. Same thing happen to my friend, had been signed with Ebonite. Talked into signing with AMF in 2006, worse year he ever had. They had the Titans and Radar Locks, Velocity's and he just never matched up. Signed back with Ebonite and has bowled great since..
