F bomb...

Sound to anyone else like after Rash picked up the wash out he dropped it right into mic?  I rewound it on DVR and I'm pretty sure it was what it was.

I think he should be fined a hefty sum.......say 25% of his purse. I really think that Rash, although obviously very talented, has some serious issues with brain power. His balks and now the F-Bomb on national TV leaves me to believe he is not very strong betwen the ears. It was something that a true role model of the sport (such as Norm Duke, Chris Barnes) would never do.

LOL!  You all are acting like he got into a fight with another bowler.  They are already making next to nothing.  So take 25% of that next to nothing is justice? LOL!  He already got fined again by that stupid balking rule today again.  Last time he got fined $2100.  Seems like people just can't take the skills of Rash or are jealous.

When you are sitting on the couch watching the PBA with your granddaughters and grandson like we do quite often it is a big deal when a punk like Rash unloads the F-bomb. Next you'll be suggesting that the youth bowlers don't watch the telecast?

Rash should not have dropped the f-bomb on TV. Even if it doesn't bother you, it bothers someone else. It's a black mark to the sportsmanship involved in the game, and it doesn't make the sponsors all to happy either. If there weren't rules against it and people just did it willy-nilly, the sponsorships from a lot of companies would be dropped.

This is a Professional Bowlers' Association...and it that is the key phrase: PROFESSIONAL BOWLERS. This is a professional event, and should be treated professionally. Rash should be fined. 25% is a huge amount, and a bit ridiculous.

I will say this: the f-bombing and various other curse words have been used more frequently as of late, and it's getting stupid. They need to stop that now, before it gets any more out of hand.

All that being said: Do I use it? Heck Yes. But I try not to use it when I'm being watched close enough for it to reach anyone else's ears...especially underaged kids.

Do we all use it? Mostly. Should we? That's up to personal preference. Is it necessary? No. Do the rules need to apply to everyone? Yes sports professionals included.

No swearing means no swearing.

Thank you.  My 4-year old watches the show with me, and I don't want him picking up that language from a PROFESSIONAL BOWLER.  He'll pick it up soon enough, but Sundays at 1:00 (Eastern) should be a time I shouldn't have to worry about that.

Then maybe you should switch the channel off of the NFL game when the network gives the close up of the head coach who just had a BS call go against his team.  Or maybe switch the channel when an NBA player gets a technical and both he and the head coach give the referee an earful.  Maybe they should turn the mike off when some prissy tennis player is out of challenges and thinks the linesman has made a bad call.

These athletes are under high pressure in tense situations against other performers who at the highest level, bring it week in and week out, something we as non-"pros" know absolutely nothing about.

So, please don't hurt your knees getting down from your high horse.

Go to your boss and drop him or her a few F-Bombs, and see where that lands you.  I'd be out on my tail - I'm not sure about you. These athletes are supposed to be PROFESSIONALS, which means they should act like it, regardless of the pressure.

By the way my knees are fine (thanks for asking - I strained my right one due to sticky approaches - gotta hate those).

BTW...What he said was YOU SUCK...He did not drop the F bomb.  Get over it people.  It is on enough of a delay it could have been blanked out if he really said it.  I ran it back about 3 times to be sure and my wife agreed he did not drop it.

Wow, I would love to meet some of you angels in person.  I mean from what I have seen, this is like a Church of God here.  It is obvious no one has played any other sport besides bowling.  I tore all my ligaments in college during a basketball game and you best to believe I was not on the floor laughing and smiling and praising the lord.  Oh wait, I wasn't a professional, just in college!

When I get kids, I am going to show them everything the world has to offer.  The problem with this country is that kids get sheltered too much and then when they see something 'NORMAL' they go crazy and get into drugs, sex, and violence because it is all a shock to them.  "Gee daddy! The world isn't all nice and gives you stickers on your HW when you turn it in on time?"

LOL!

Off topic - reminds me of my ice hockey teammate who came from a deeply religious family. Shattered his knee during a game, heard the sick snap all the way across the ice. The paramedics had to cut his equipment away from him. Obviously, this young church-goer was in tremendous pain, and at the top of his lungs, every third word out of his mouth was "Jesus". After every Jesus was a F-Bomb.

His parents were mortified, but hey, the kid was in pain.

LOL! That sounds like me.  I was sent to the ER in an ambulance and the doctor's cut my shoes off because I was going into shock.  Same thing though, everyone on court heard my ankles snap along with every tendon and ligament ripping at the same time.

I am sure that every professional athlete has cursed before and I am sure they all will do it again in the future. Bowlers are no different. I have a 4 year old son that has heard the F bomb a few times hell he has even said once. It is not right for him to hear or especially say it, however he is human just like any of us and he will hear and use that word a number of times in his life. I know I have heard my fair share and have used it plenty of times. I think the United States needs to realize that these words are here and most people will use them. Wake up and realize the fact that kids will hear this kind of language in movies, songs, and on television as well as just being out in public. Ever been to a mall with teenagers around or 20 year olds. Sometimes that is all you hear.
