Down in 4 in the round of 64.
Looked like he was going to pull one out, but it didn't happen.
Didn't see what happened in the 10th, (live scoring), but it must have been ugly.

Goes to show you that the new match-play-only format isn't benefitting everyone. Don't take that the wrong way, in no way am I complaining about it or criticizing it. I do wonder how the great Earl would have faired in this type of tour.

I, too have issues with the new format.
To put out all the travel time and investment, toll on families, etc. for a possibility of 80 games over the length of the season (20 tournaments, in case you were down in 4 every round of 64). I don't care for it because of that. I also don't like the "ranking" system that has the same bowlers bowling each other week after week for those same 4 games. I'm sure the guys didn't fight all year to make the exempt list just to bowl 4 games with the same opponent every week. For that, you could stay at home and bowl pot games - it'd be cheaper!

Parker got spanked by the old man, Tommy Baker.
32nd in the points list before today, going out in 4 will probably drop Parker perilously close to the exempt tour cut point, position #40...

This was intentional, as you can tell from the story on pba.com about how many times the same players have faced off in the round of 64 this year.
They say they are trying to create interesting rivalries. That may be so, but since the fans (other than those few in attendance) have no way of watching the preliminary rounds, what difference does it make?

new format sucks!
When any one can beat anyone else, it is NOT a good format.

I doubt if we're going to hear any exempt players say anything negative about the new format.
The PBA is a privately held organization, and, like the PWBA, has a code of ethics that forbids the players to say negative things...

The rank in the brackets is from the points the bowlers have from the last 20 tournaments bowled (about a years worth). Each week they drop a tournament and add the last one bowled.
The exempt players are seeded that way. The commissioners exemption is given the 59 seed, the qualify amateur is given the 64 seed, the qualifying pro’s are given 60 thru 63 by their qualifying score.

Is there a list anywhere showing how many points the exempt players have earned over the last 20 tournaments?

Rags, isn't that the point listing for the tournaments bowled this year? Because according to that list, Danny Wiseman should be seeded number 1, instead of being seeded #11.

I don't believe there's a published list of the "rolling" points standings.
