I didn't realize Randy has been doing color for 17 years.
-
Simply inexplicable how Randy Pedersen keeps getting jobs on TV. He is the worst.
-
YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
This is literally the best thing that could have happened to the PBA. I'm not even being my normal sarcastic self this time. Hambone $tone is back to save the game!
-
I think I just threw up in my mouth.
I read once that Rob Stone left ESPN because he hated the bowling assignment. He's probably just towing the company line until he gets a new job.

You are 100% wrong on this one my friend. Rob Stone took a hefty contract to sign with Fox Sports Net as a lead studio host in 2012 and he was assigned to cover lots of Soccer which is the sport he came from. I was on a layover in SFO about 4 years ago where I met Rob Stone at an airport bar and we talked bowling for 30-40 minutes uninterrupted. He didn't have to do that with a random stranger in an airport. What I took out of it is, you'd be hard pressed to find a "casual" fan who loves the sport of bowling more than Rob Stone.
but in typical bowler fashion.... we often hold contempt for the casuals, who are the very people we need to grow the audience and bring in more eyes & people to the sport. Anything to freshen up the game, I'm down for. The people remaining in it are some of the most soul-draining, miserable, apathetic people left on earth.

Rule #1 in successful business:
Know your customer base and audience.
Rule #2 in successful business:
Generate now customers and a new audience without alienating your current customer base and audience.
Rule #3 in business:
Refer to rules 1&2.

But those three rules interfere with the chummy old boys club that is bowling currently so yeah we won't be following those.

I've always been on TeamRobStone so I'm happy with the news. He brings a lot of enthusiasm to the broadcasts. I'm also happy that Kimberly Presser is returning as she's a good presence on the shows.

It just seems like forever.

I think the PBA would have served itself better with new faces all together. But this could be seen as the PBA in transition so fsmiliarity is the best recipie.
More than likely, I'm sure I'll end up falling asleep while watching most PBA events online via YouTube or XtraFrame on Flo Bowling. As for FOX Sports, well, let's just say it's one of several FOX channels I avoid the few times I do watch television.
-
I like Rob Stone. He's the best out of those other schmucks they put with Randy.
-
Should have replaced Randy with Marshall Holman.

Well yeahhhhh. Wonder what she's doing these days?
-
I cant stand Rob Stone; I cant watch anything that he is a part of. guess I wont be watching much PBA.

Should have replaced Randy with Marshall Holman.
Or a tree stump, would still have been better

Oh dear God, please no Marshall. We have enough "in my day" musings as it is with Randy and his 8-pins.
Marshall's Xtra Frame run last year was atrocious. He got better as he went along and actually talked about the bowling in front of him, but please, please, please, no more comparisons to the late 70s.
-
Rob + Randy + and every crowd like Portland, Maine would make for entertaining shows. These dead crowds with nothing but guys that missed the finals and their wives & kids make for the most dull shows in recent memory.
That last run of shows on CBS Sports was the cure for insomnia.
-
The Tour Finals Championship Round on 06/19 was too funny. If you listen closely, you can hear every argument Randy has with the production team, and there's more than 2.

I noticed that! haha..Randy didn't care to cover any mics.
