In a PBA senior regional completed hours ago in Sarasota, Fla., the Round of 2 came down to a pair of players with a combined 72 Tour titles between them ...

All for $2000. Wow.
-
Fish, thanks for the link. It does not appear that PBA50 makes any stops here in the Northeast. The Masters has played here and has drawn fairly well, so I think that a Seniors event would do alright, too.
-
Oops! There are PBA50 events in Cherry Hill, NJ in July and in Howell, NJ in September. I am looking forward to them
Fish, thanks for making me check the schedule.

Thanks for the info ..

The PBA Seniors is the greatest value in sports.
Walter Ray, Ameletto, PDW, Norm Duke, Bob Learn, and Randy Pederson and many other talents that have been waiting to show their stuff after retirement from normal jobs.
Have you seen Bo Goergan fling the ball.
The tournament at the villages this weekend is one of the best! Last year featuring the first 900 on the major professional circuits by Joe Scaraborough.
The pros seem to have a great time as does the crowd at this venue. I attempt to enjoy it every year!
The price I can't believe it....you have got to be kidding me!
Check it out!

I think I just got my parents to get off their butts this morning and head over there. They live at The Villages. Was sending them updates during this mornings match play, then I get a message, "we're heading over". Should be cool for them to see. Spanish springs is a nice house. My son and I bowled there last summer when we visited. Lanes are dry as a bone for open play though.

I went over. I'm not your parents.
Some say (I think Pete Weber was one of them).
One of the greatest assemblage for a finals ever! Oh my.
After missing the 900 last year what I and I guess 700 other people got to see tonight!

Leading up to the finals Norm Duke shot 279 279 and lost the last two matches to first Tom Baker with a 300 and PDW with a 299!
2 games before that PDW shot 298!
In the last game of finals qualifying the game that PDW had a 299 Ralph Brunt had a 300! These guys are awesome.
Parker started the finals with 287 vs Walters 268!! Yes Cheetah....but these guys.
Norm with a Critical theory. Lots of Asylums around(ie for Pete) and many others!

Luckylefty
I'm glad I took a few hours off!
PS Norm had 3 279s out of 4 games!

To close the loop, my parents were unwilling to pay the $10 admission (smh). That was an epic stepladder final. Probably the greatest collection of wins ever in a stepladder. Not sure how to research that one. But, man.

Best cheap ticket ever, or at least tied!
Like seeing Elvis for $25! I did that one too!
Regards,
Luckylefty
PS they call me that for a reason!

Indeed. Now I'm jealous. Best I can say is I've done the Graceland tour. Of course I was only 10 when he died. Still remember where I was when I heard the news though.

Dear LuckyLefty:
A case could be made to support your contention.

Anyone know what ball pete was using in qualifying. He started out with uproar then switched to a black ball. Any ideas?
