Jeff Carter...gettin' it done at the US Open
« on: February 15, 2005, 08:09:37 AM »
One of our own, Jeff Carter, aka Mr. 261, is doing quite well after the first round of scores at the US Open.  He's currently in fourth place.

Since we were on B today ( it was pretty burnt by the time we started ) i used a Hot Rod Pro Stock Pearl the first 2 games. I was playing around 25-27 and not going left to right very much. The back ends were still fairly clean so fall back looked good from the start. I had 250-220 to start with so at least i got off to a good start. Then we hit a pair that flat out hooked in the air. The right lane was a 3-6-10 before i got on the approach. 2 splits and no doubles equalled 170 on that pair. Then i did the opposite of what i thought i would do. Instead of going to my T-Road Pearl i went to my X-Factor and jumped in to 30-32 and just picked the speed up a little more. Things went well the last 3 and i ended up pretty strong
