Pba presentation bad or good?
« on: March 22, 2004, 07:50:55 AM »
I attended the Pba World Championship this past Sunday
expecting to get an up close and personal view of the
action. The lighting was a little awkward, and various
equpiment obstructed my view throughout the event. While
the bowlers were on the approach, we all could hear the
commentators in the background from time to time. Is it
just me or are the shows more enjoyable when watched
on tv?

In the middle section, behind the bowlers, i was about 15-20 rows up.
I found myself looking at the montiors after the release to get a better
view of the shot. One kid got a ball, a few people got random "goodie bags"
that 2 of the bowlers threw out. Just felt like i was watching league bowling
from a distance, i did get to see the releases and approaches much better
though.
