The new oil
« on: August 13, 2004, 08:48:12 AM »
Does anyone know what will be the characteristics of the new brunswick oil compared to the Kegel oil?
Will the oil spread more quickly / slower?
Is the oil thicker than the Kegel?
Or, is there really a difference?

Isn't Prodigy a Kegel oil, I am asking about the brunswick oil difference?

yeah it did but it was 43ft. felt longer though.I started by standing on 25 and shooting 13. Then moved in to 35 and shot 23.

Yeah, but Dublin's surface is brand new... 43' pattern on a brand new Brunswick Pro-Anvilane will feel like 50'.

Anybody know which particular Brunswick oil they are using?

Bowled 24 games in this regional and all i can say is ... i only moved one board going left and going right... i am a lefty played 10 board straight up and it lasted the whole 24 games for me... that is how oily the lanes was on pattern b...

All I've heard about Prodigy is that it's not as good as they hoped it to be.  It's going to be hard to make oil to combat the bowling ball's ability to trash a condition pretty quickly, but someone will come up with something innovative eventually.
