To her credit, Stephanie throws everything pretty straight. This is why she'd probably beat any of us on that difficult a pattern. If the men were comparing it to a U.S. Open shot it could not have been easy.

As was mentioned earlier neither woman had much of a reaction today, but the only shot that hurt her was the last one that no way was getting back to the pocket.

Wait until you see others start to throw the Wild Ride in your area, then don't buy one. Your opponents will thank you.

That match was hideous. It felt like it took an hour to complete. The woman drag down the show. I've seen enough of them already.

I have to agree with you... I used to enjoy watching the women bowl, but not today..

Who pays for the women's portion of the prize money?  Do they get enough entries and sponsor fees to pay it or is the USBC paying a portion of it?

The USBC pays all of it, which means WE are paying for it.

Does Jon still drill for her???

I am almost positive it was a Rico layout. She has been working with these alot more lately.

The reason the ball was still spinning going through the pins was because they were on 40 feet with a pretty good volume. The ball just never thought about getting into a roll to much, she never could really find the dry early enough.

But as usual champions do what they have to do. She got up in the 9th and 10th and threw strikes somehow!! Putting some pressure on and winning. Congrats to Wendy!

wendy ended with a 4 bagger none looked worthy of striking.  ball looked like crap at the pins. never going the right direction at impact.  how the hell she carried those 4 in a row was amazing.

45 degrees

if its a 2 1/2 pin

It was only on tv for a sec-but it was close to a rico(maybe not exact-but pin was in palm and cg kicked

My opponents won't thank me until I get rid of reactive bowling balls period and start throwing house balls.  My Hy-Road is more than enough, and the Wild Ride isn't going to improve my average or scores.  I'm at the point that the only way I get better scores and higher averages is if I make a huge effort and get a good coach that can fix the couple things I do wrong.

The women should be bowling on a fresh pair the pattern plays so different after you get the high rev guys on there for 2 games + 30 mins of practice. They dont have the ball speed or revs to do justice for how good they really are.

I have to agree that no ball, by itself, will be the "miracle pill" to fix flaws. What I have found out, though, is that some are more forgiving than others if used by the right bowler and on the right condition.

The Hy-Road is a good ball, so I'm not surprised that it's found a home with you. However, how do you know that a different ball won't help you until you've actually thrown it?

The very fact that you're admitting that it won't help (before trying a different ball) is proof that you are correct. Nothing ventured, nothing gained...
