Not to mention that he finished ahead of a couple of guys I know pretty well from bowling centers across the NY/NJ area, who are very fine bowlers in their own right.  To go out there and finish ahead of guys like John Neral, Ken Yokobosky and Charles Anderson, you are bowling pretty well.

I don't like what he did to the sport with that whole 900 debacle, but I do have to grudgingly respect his efforts for what he accomplished here.  There's plenty of people we all don't like necessarily, but do respect what they do on the lanes.

Maybe his technique on predicting single pin leaves was a little bit rusty during his round of 8 matches?!?

I think the point is, its obvious this kid has some talent. Whether or not he actually bowled the 900s, which I don't think he did, hes not merely a "House Hack BS Artist" anymore, hes now a "Moderately Talented BS Artist"

Sorry for whoever said that for stealing it lol, but it fit the topic.

It's pretty much a given that he cheated on some level with respect to his 900's, but as much as I hate to do so, I gotta tip my cap to the kid. At least he has the stones to go out there and compete against some of the best bowlers in the northeast, and he managed to hold his own and bowled rather well.

I was on the same squad as Robbie in Junior Gold in 2006, so I have seen this kid bowl firsthand. I even crossed near him a few games. And while I'm not trying to defend the kid in the least, because that whole 900 debacle was beyond terrible for the sport, I must at least admit that he throws it pretty well.

I never thought I would find myself defending him, but he's at least gone out and done something now to prove he's not solely a Pine Plains house rat. That being said, I don't think you'll ever hear me speak of this kid again, because I'm tired of hearing his name.

The USBC had no choice. He was going to get legal action and the rules were in his favor.

ALSO...there is at least one other prebowl 900 approved by the USBC before his.

There is no doubt prebowl scoring is influenced(particularly on the right side) by the lack of crosslane traffic.  It puts righties (if there is just a small number of people bowling on the right) back to at least on par or maybe even ahead of the lefty....as the condition changes.
