Hey everyone...I need a little err a lot of help. Has anyone here bowled on the PBA shots? My scratch doubles league just voted on making it a PBA shot league. All I know is the Cheetah pattern is first.I know I'll be bowling against Billy O'neill my first night. I know he knows where to shoot and what type of ball to use. Dull, shiny, reactive, particle ahhhh! Are there any "better shots to throw for this pattern that might help me to not get that embarrassed tomorrow?I'd like to know about all the patterns actually. If it was a THS I'd have a punchers chance but, since this is an unknown thing for me, I need all of the help I could get! Mr. Jeff Carter if you could shed some light also I'd be thankful.I'd take anyones advice. Besides these new shots if am so rusty from not bowling for weeks.Any and all help would be great! Thanks everyone in advance.

Bill is a friend of mine and a really good guy.  Ask him for a few words of advice, he's really technical and wouldn't mind giving you some tips.  A big part of these patterns is how they play according to the lane surface you're on.   Take advantage of having such a high calibur player bowling with you.

Oh I totally agree with both of you. I just didn't know if an inside line or outside might tend to score/carry better on this pattern. Billy will always help me , except when we go against each other. I know and have beaten him but, like I said he is an animal. This is his turf I am playing on. If I had a few games to practice on then I'd feel better.I think they give a whole 5 mins of practice. I figured if I could atleast shrink my turn around time then I'd be a lot happier.Oh how does this pattern change after a few games. It is a four game league, I believe only 4 on a pair. Thanks !

I'm going to through in my opinion. On Cheetah, generally your breakpoint will be outside of the 5 board. How you get there is generally based on what's comfortable, as long as you keep your breakpoint outside of 5 and further down the lane, past the 35 ft of oil. Now, If you're a higher rev player, generally, a weaker reacting ball with an agressive ball is a good idea so you get through the heads easier. If you're a med-low rev player, an agressive ball with a generally weaker drilling is a good idea. Just what I've noticed.

So the idea is to throw TWO balls at the same time...?!  Wow, that would make things interesting....
