Way to Go WRW!!!! Another illustration of straighter is greater.  47 titles, 8 majors. And still going strong at age 50.

indeed he did.. I just knew Barnes would be using the mission like he did in match play.. Guess he thought the pure swing was a better look. I also thought he would have jumped outside right on wrw's line and make it transition faster.. guess I was wrong. Barnes has serious game though.. just didn't get the breaks today. Also WRW is tough, in a one game match the dude is just bad, ask PDW.. haha

Hmm..Lets see what I have in this bag..A Reign of Fire, an Invasion, a Nasty Spider, and a green Avalanche.. how can I lose....

....HG-300(2006 w/Desert Heat)...299 (03/15/09 w/Agent Orange)...HS-776 (Hot Sauce Pearl & Ebonite Magic)

And Barnes is quite versatile.  He can play any part of the lane.  Xtraframe is still free and one hurries he can catch some matches to see how versatile he really is.

BTW, that strategy is not uncommon.  That happened to me in a money league.

I think Barnes ran into some carrydown that his pearl was not able to handle on the left lane. Meanwhile WRW was using a strong MB, and a strong drilling on a polished solid AND playing down and in.

Per xtraframe it was a 5x5 drilling.

Eric Thomas of 900Global posted here it was  "4.5" pin stacked, mb at 5 o'clock small hole".

"Looks like he switched back to a 5x5"

Eric Thomas posted that later on in the same thread you read.

I saw some of the last match on xtraframe on friday and he used a momentum swing during some of it.

thank you Jete

someone else with a clue in this thread

You guys are clueless if you doubt Barnes' ability. He has one of the best all around games in the history of the sport.

As far as the op goes....straighter is almost always greater....especially on tv. That's why guys like Duke and WRW still continue to excel while others their age are struggling.

Spoken like a true house hack...sorry you guys that say stuff like this are complete idiots.

- In a one game match you don't move 20 right with your feet because of a wrap 10

- He lost when he left the first 4 pin

- You're an idiot

This is for all you morons out there saying Barnes shoulda played a diff line.....

You guys dont have a clue to what good ball reaction is if you think that Barnes ball wasnt rolling well. I think Barnes played the perfect part of the lane, but indeed, in a one game match sometimes things dont go your way. Walter threw the ball great indeed but his ball reaction wasnt as good as Barne's was... You could have made this a match play game today with best of 5 or soemthing, and Barnes may have beat him 4 out of 5 games.

As for the people talking shyt about Barnes not being able to win, he has the greatness to be on TV every other Sun. By GOD you must be doing something right in this case.

How in this world or the next one can you say Walter's reaction wasn't as good as Barnes when Walter threw 11 strikes ? Chris is a great bowler but he got beat today by a better man and yes he threw good shots but thats bowling

I didn't see the match before but he shot 258, and in two games he averages 274 in two games.

Ok maybe I saw something differant out there. 3rd frame Barnes got a tad soft and never recovered from that. Imho he was playing a good line for him.Like I said tho he got a little soft and it was over. WRW blue ball up 5 was crushing them today. It's rare you see his ball drive thru the 8 like it was.

Straighter is not greater necessarily.First of all Walter bowled terrific but don't be stupid thinking Chris Barnes bowled poorly. Chris played the lanes perfectly today and had some bad breaks with exception of a couple of shots. Um...did you know his opponent shot near perfect you haters. If Walter happened to have some bad carry himself Barnes may have won. Most people that either post on this board or PBA.com never look at the tournament as a whole and presume that whoever won was the greatest and who lost sucked. Chris dominated this whole tournament including the great comeback against Malott which he shot 300 against him to win. Today, Walter threw better shots and was on fire but don't dismiss Barnes at all which he was fantastic today/

Hmmm - lets see how many titles Barnes has when he is 50.
