Ricky Ward

Though I wasn't bowling at the time when he first came out back in the early 90's, I loved watching him bowl. The wwf british bulldogs were done and RW reminded me of davey boy smith lol.

Did he have the longest running mullet in the pba? or Wayne Webb?

ANyway, where is he now?
Does a round object have sides? I say yes, pizza has triangles..

He was on one of the open championship live streams last year.  Should be able to find it in the archive on bowl TV.  Think I remember Matt C talking about him.

Ricky lives in the Ft. Myers area... not bowling as much, but still funny to listen to old PBA stories, etc... Still has his smooth armswing!

What a great armswing. I remember his first show the 1995 Showboat, he was throwing the Black Amber Zone. I think he qualified #1 and faced Dave Husted in the finals. Dave won throwing the blue Piranha/C

Ricky was one of my favorites to watch.  I saw his live stream at the USBC Open last year.  Looked like he gained a few pounds (like most of us) and grew a mustache.  His swing was still the same.

Should have been earlier. the Teal Rhino Pro was out between 1993 and 1994, and he was throwing that for many a tournament prior to 1995. So he was definitely out before 1995.

holy crap, I forgot about that one!!!!

That tournament was a bit dear to me, personally. I won the Pro-Am at that tournament. Used a violet 3D Offset Hammer and Ebonite Optyx, shortly before picking up the Ebonite TPC Warrior.

Wow, that one brings back a lot.. thanks for posting this!

BTW. In the final match of that tournament they go more into his career. He claimed Rookie of the Year in 1991. So that was when he started.
