I've been watching bowling and the PBA on TV for a long time, since the late 1950s, when Fred Wolf announced a match between Ray Bluth and Billy Golembiewski, which Bluth won 300 - 299!
Then the PBA came to ABC. Watched every show til the end.
The the PBA moved to ESPN. So I had to buy cable to watch it. I did.
Then the PBA had some shows on ESPN2; so I bought the ESPN package.
Then the PBA started showing some tourneys on Xtra Frame; now this is getting annoying and expensive. I almost might as well drive to every tournament. PLus XF is pretty damned bad. Heck, YouTube videos have better production values.
Then they showed some summer tourneys on CBS Sports Network; luckily I didn't have to call my provider to pay more. It was in my package.
Now, Now, Now, they're showing the PBA league on ESPN3?
What the hell is ESPN3? I get 8 ESPN channels; none of them is ESPN3.
I'm sick of this BS.
PBA, you lost another viewer.

But . . but "tv exposure is good for the brand."

But not for my budget. :(

Isn't espn3 online?

PBA league is on regular ESPN. ESPN3 is their online service, which is free if you already have ESPN.
Previously, they have allowed viewers to watch the tapings of taped ESPN tournaments live on ESPN 3 rather than waiting for the taped shows on ESPN. I don't know if that's the case for PBA league, but it would make sense if it was.

Thank you. I had no idea it was an online video service. They should explain such when they show it, as if it were yet another ESPN "TV" channel.

With most things being run by the current usbc, what isn't complicated that's run by them these days in any area? ???

They need to start broadcasting shows on ESPN 8, the Ocho.

I agree. But if Globo Gym makes it to the finals again, they may pre-empt bowling.

WatchESPN app on your phone/tablet/streaming tv device or on the computer web browser at http://www.espn.com/watchespn/ for ESPN3, just have to plug in your email and password from your cable provider.
