Title: TOC
Post by: Gene J Kanak on February 04, 2016, 03:27:05 PM
Well, as they head to match play, there are three two-handers in the top 5 (1. Svensson; 3. Troup, and 5. Belmonte), and there are several other high-rev players in the Top 10. Clearly, the guys who hook it are liking their look thus far! I can't wait to see who ends up making the show!

Svensson only started out the day 289-300 that guy is going to start dominating the tour if he keeps it up

Kyle Troup switched to two hands?   ???

Kyle has always been a two hander from what I've seen!

Yeah, from what I know, Kyle Troup has been a two-hander the whole time.

Yeah, from what I know, Kyle Troup has been a two-hander the whole time.

I could have sworn there was a tournament or two that was streamed where he was bowling one-handed.. may have even been last year's Team USA trials.

Either way, doesn't really matter. he's rolling good right now in match play.

Svensson is the only lefty that qualified for match play...so I'm going to say the topography/shot does not favor lefties...despite a "unique" one leading the tournament.

Troup, despite being a two-hander, likes to throw it hard and straight.  He does not prefer to hook the lane.  From what I've seen this week, he's going straighter than almost all of the righties.

It's going to be interesting to see who ends up top 5.

Svennson had a 300 pin lead after round 1 match play yesterday. Now only a 32 pin lead over Tom Daugherty. He struggled the 2nd round this morning

Troup dropped to ninth after the morning match play. We'll see how it ends up after this evenings games. Saddest part when i'm looking at the results of this mornings games. Norm Duke and Pete Weber both withdrawing due to injury.

Agreed, but it's not surprising in this long of a format, especially since PDW has been nursing injuries lately as it is.

Show on Sunday:

Mitch Beasley
Jasper Svensson
Jason Belmonte
EJ Tackett
Tom Daugherty

Mitch Beasley went 20-3-1 in match play. That's ridiculous

Daugherty was with Storm. I think they said this was his first event with Hammer.

He was using the C300 Swerve Fx in match play yesterday

Daugherty signed with EBI and is with the Hammer brand.

That is interesting. Now I think about it I don't know any PBA radical member on top of my head. Maybe tom Hess if recall hearing something bout him

Tom Hess is now a free agent and Radical doesn't have any pro staff at the moment.  Although, Ciminelli threw Radical and DV8 in his last TV appearance.  That was the first time in recent memory I've seen Brunswick let a DV8 staffer throw 1 of their other brands on the show.

Smallwood is exclusively on Radical's staff now, just made the switch right before the TOC.
