Title: USBC-Masters in Milwaukee
Post by: 230-n-up-or-bust on October 22, 2007, 08:17:31 AM
I'm heading down there tomorrow night around 9:00 p.m. for D squad to support bass, Mike Thill, who will be bowling in the event.  Stop down and show your support for one of the guys with the stones(along with the game) to give this a try.

One of my former students (coaching of sports) is out for his first Masters on "B" squad. I would hope for the first cut but being his first major event staying fairly close to the cut line would be a great showing. Tell Bass good luck from fellow Br. members.

I didn't feel like I was throwing the ball bad tuesday night.
Hard to get it thru the front of the lane and still make it tip hard enough into the pocket.
Today who knows.
Saw a lot of lefties struggling to find an ball reaction.
Decent players shooting 150-160's.
Hate to say it but righties that can cover the whole lane made it look like a house shot.

I was going through the final tally through 10 games and found this to be a bit funny.  What are the odds that two of the people who have shot sanctioned 900 series tied at the Masters?

243, (TIE) Tony Roventini, Menomonee Falls, Wis., and Matt Smallin, Minot, N.D., and Jeff Campbell II, Amarillo, Texas, and Michael Faliero, Buffalo, N.Y., 1,959.

Better then I thought...

I was in a summer PBA league with the leader right now, Derek Eoff!  I didn't talk to him much because I never bowled against him but wow, he's leading it right now!

I'm pretty sure he won't go to TV or anything but not bad after a day or so!

He was a good bowler in our PBA league but I know he didn't average over a 205 in it.  I think he won it though.

Don't not count on him making it farther than you think.  The guys a real talent and you didn't even know it while in your league.  Derek's got a lot of maple moxie.

Derek is a PLAYER. He has been there before. I have bowled with/against Derek since 1997, he can throw it when he needs it! Making Team USA this past year was a real confidence booster for him as well!!

Good Luck to him and I also Sean Rash making a nice run this week

Eoff is a tremendous talent. So smooth at the bottom of the swing it's SICK. All the WI boys are beating up on each other - first Kloss against Maas, then Eoff against Boresch in the winners bracket this morning...now Boresch against Kloss who beat Mr. Barnes for the second year in a row. Good luck everyone, make WI proud.

Oh BTW, I realize Eoff is a transplant but since he gets to beat us up in our state tournament we're claiming him......
