wes malott thumb hole
« on: April 28, 2019, 10:49:39 AM »
I been curious why Malott always blows into his thumb hole, does he keep his thumb hole larger to do this, I used to do this just wondering. I am thinking if thumb hole is tight and he blows into it he will hang up in it a lot.

Some bowlers blow into the thumb hole to dry it out.

A lot of bowlers blow into the thumbhole when their thumbs are too dry. The moisture from their breaths gives then a little bit of needed "stiction".

I blow in my thumbhole as well. For me it gives a tackier feel for my dry thumb. Gives me a little better grip. ability to hang on to the ball without squeezing. I use the ebonite smooth black tape in the back of thumbhole for a super quick release as it is.
