Voss and Carter it says 189 for bopth and voss winning 69 to 65 in a tie break that must have been awesome
-
Lemme see.
I watched it on the live scoring.
They both struck (10)(10)
They both struck (20)(20)
They both got 9 (29)(29) (I may actually have the third and 4th shots turned around)
They both struck (39)(39)
They both struck (49)(49)
They both struck (59)(59)
Voss Struck (69)
then it took forever to post carters shot -
final result (69)(65)
They only count actual pins dropped.
So - if they'd been bowling an actual game, Carter would have had
X X 9/ X X X 6
Voss would have had
X X 9/ X X X X
both bowlers well on the way to a much better game than the 180 they each shot.

Mumzie, that had to be the most intense 7 shots i've been a part of. They announced it as the longest sudden death roll-off in PBA history.

Good to see you post again Jeff.
Not to TJ but why did you switch from Ebonite to Storm? How are you matching up with the new stuff?

Great bowling this week, Jeff! Taking out Mika in 7 must have felt awesome!
Keep plugging away, you'll get there eventually.

Scott, there are several reasons why i left Ebonite. The main reason was the dismissal of Brian Pursel. Brian was not only my ball rep and coach but a good friend. He was the reason i was with Ebonite in the first place. Another reason was i just wasnt matching up with the majority of the equipment. I felt like i couldnt compete with just 3 balls in my bag ( V2, lo-flare particle and Savage Flip ). This is in no way a knock on Ebonite, i just couldnt match up with the newer stuff. I'm not saying that the stuff wasnt good, because several other players were making it work. Its just that it didnt seem to fit my game for what i was looking for. I stayed a free agent for part of the summer using Storm and Brunswick. I had some success early in blocks with Brunswick and later in blocks with Storm. When i got to Tour Trials i spent a lot of time with Chris Schlemmer ( Storm Tour rep and a close friend ) and we talked about me joining the Storm Nation. Two weeks later it was a done deal and i couldnt be happier. I seem to match up on all of the patterns pretty well except for E, and we are constantly working on that. Hopefully i can continue to make it out of the PTQs and take my chances in match play.
Seadrive, thanks for the support. Being able to get by Mika was pretty tough. We bowled in St Louis and he beat me in 6. Luckily i was able to play in ( my comfort zone ) and he was forced left outside of his comfort zone. I was just glad to be able to take advantage of that.

Jeff,
Welcome back.
I was watching on the live scoring, and was wishing with everything I had that I could see the actual shots. It must have been absolutely nerve wracking.
I know that when there's a roll off tie breaker in any tournament, it usually involves me. Yes - it's absolutely intense.
Great shooting. I'm dying to know - what did you guys leave on the 9 count shots, and what did you leave the last shot?

Mumzie, in the 4th roll-off ( i think ) Brian went throught the face and left a 6-7-10 and the 7-10 rolled out for a 6-pin. Then unfortinately i left a blower 7. In the 7th roll-off i got it in on the hooking lane a little bit and left a 3-6-7-10

Thanks. Satisfied my curiosity.
I always wonder if you guys go light or high when the stress gets to you. Based on the show today, I'd guess high???
