What An Ending To The Trials!
« on: June 06, 2004, 01:27:29 AM »
The last 3 spots came down to the 10th frame of game 9
Allen is on a strike and can punch out for 226
Pratt is on two in a row and can finish with 238
Traber can go 290
Rowe can go 300
McCune can go 269
Pratt is the first one to bowl...3 strikes...238, knocking Allen out.
Both Rowe and Traber could have knocked out Pratt if they struck out, Traber did, Rowe left a 4 pin the first shot of the 10th, covered and struck for 279.
McCune struck the first shot to ensure his spot, then went 7/ for 256.
The PBA couldn't have asked for a better ending.  The atmosphere was unbelievable.

By the way, McCune was playing the same line as he was when he won, except with a black Vendetta
