Delutz's ball reaction
« on: December 17, 2006, 02:56:45 PM »
I thought Delutz had a great look to the pocket from middle-in. I'm thinking that his ball choice for the show was not very good though as his ball was hitting very marshmellow and he throws a pretty powerful ball. Mabey something more pearlized or angular at the breakpoint would have carried those weak 10's and able to turn the corner a little better?

brian, the total inferno delutz was throwing is a pearlized reactive ball. it's been awhile since he'd been on tv---perhaps it was simply nerves or maybe he didn't throw the ball as well as he would have liked.

I just thought he was robbed of pin action, much like Duke was in his final against Shafer.  Delutz had a chance though.

I agree the Total did not give him the best look from the line he was playing.  Boy do I miss the days of Tommy D throwing Roto Grip, the line he was playing looked perfect for an Epic Saga.

Sorry if this is off-topic, but speaking of TD and Roto, why didn't they take him back as a staffer, after his injuries had healed?  Had they already committed whatever money they had for staff to others?

TD decided to go away from rotogrip. Ill tell you that for a while when recovering he was throwing a LOT of Ebonite equipment, and still does. He threw a lot of MoRich and Brunswick that week.

Tommy had to leave Roto-Grip because he knew they were going grassroots and he couldn't throw them on the exempt tour.  I know for a fact on his way back from rehab he was throwing some 12-14lb rotos trying to get himself back into shape.  He left on good terms.
