Im waiting for the Barnes supporters to say "Oh he didnt choke". He started to choke in the 7th. He threw the front 7---asked at least 2 of them to hook and never does anything to change it. Just stays where he was.
Then he throws a shot Mach 5 in the 10th and looks at it wondering why it doesnt hook.
He is the master of the OK shot on TV. Not necessarily a choker that some think. But he got away with alot before the 7th and didnt after.

Yes he is---and thats why he keeps making shows week after week. He is an unbelievable talent who has just been unable to put it together on the shows on a consistent basis.
Love the game, hate the brain.

He's a loser with a loser mentality. Oh yeah, he's a very talented loser, very much more talent than most, but he IS burdened with that loser mentality and until he finds a way out of that, he will continue to have these problems.
If he continues to bowl well and make the show, he is bound to win sooner or later, but he could have been one of the greatest ever, and now he will just be another talented pro with nothing special to distinguish him from others who have won a title or two.
Nothing except his legacy of crashing on the runway while coming in for an easy landing, so to speak.

i think he just have to make it easy, last frame, throw a plastic down to the pocket and forget about it
--------------------
When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment
When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

instead of everyone noticing that chris barnes choked did anyone notice how pete weber was never in the game ?
-
I'd rather have stock in Barnes than the DOW.

they had a graphic indicating the average of bowlers making this show on this pattern.
wes was close to 250,
the others were around 230,
except pete , who was at 217.
hard to put a lot of stock in 'made for tv' statistics, but it seems remarkable that pdw even made the show.
especially since the format was total pinfall and no match play.

Yes, but he was #1 on the Earl Anthony pattern.

3 holes of fun!!

Did you ever see Tin Cup?
No, I'm not going to say Barnes is like Kevin Costner's character, Roy McAvoy. I actually think Barnes is like Don Johnson's character, Dave Simms, in that he's probably mean to old people and children.
The bowling gods will never let a putz like Barney succeed at the level he is capable of.
