Cost to go watch a PBA event?
« on: February 06, 2007, 12:50:52 AM »
ME and a buddy of mine are thinking of going to see a PBA event.  The only one that is in driving range is the US open in NJ.  I was wondering how much it costs to go and watch the event, not the Tv show.  Just going to the center to watch Match Play?
Thanks

I think match play is free.  I got tickets to the telecast for the tournament in Council Bluffs, IA on Feb. 18th for $15.00 each.

Nothing is ever free on the tour.  The PBA site has ticket information.  See this page for the US Open.  $75 for the week, they didn't list individual day or block passes.  Most of the other normal tournaments sell passes for individual blocks or rounds in addition to all-day passes for $10-20.

Edit:  If you click on "Schedule", you get a page listing all the tournaments that tickets are available for.

for the geico open this week in dallas the prices are:

wednesday ptq and pro practice $5 for the day
thursday round of 64 $15 the entire day
friday round of 32 16 and 8 $25 the entire day
saturday pro am (not sure of the prices for that)
sunday the show $15-$50 and the $15 are not very good. Way in the back

They only come once a year so its worth it to me..

No doubt.  I was really hoping they'd go back to Birmingham this year so I could go see 'em one day.  I was going to try to go on Thursday and Friday, but no luck.

If you bowl the open you get a list for your family and friends to be listed on for free passes. I believe it is 4 people but i might be wrong the count

Looks like ticket prices went down from a couple years ago beacause I know they were higher then that.

For those that have attended a PBA event this season, are they still making everyone wear colored wristbands and attempting to kick everyone out of the house to repay if you don't have the day pass colored one? 2 years ago there were people hiding in bars and bathrooms so they wouldn't have to pay full price.
