Jason Belmonte? Chris Barnes?
« on: January 15, 2015, 10:03:34 AM »
After dominating the last two years?  What is going on with Superstar Belmonte this year?

Technique, injury, new specs on balls fir two handers?  When talking to those in the know I had heard that Belmonte would dominate so much in the later parts of blocks much of the last two years it was unprecedented.  What's happened?

Regards,

Luckylefty
PS after watching Chris Barnes so often the last 10 years on tour....where is he?

im sure that Barnes leaving had something to do with equipment, but i would  bet it was largely due to $$.

Barnes is 2 seed for step ladder in the Japan cup finals today. So I'm sure he is liking the change right now.

I don't thinks it's wise to count out either of these two because they have won titles and tournaments at multiple levels. Format changes and new up & comers just make things more competitive, plus the newcomers just mean bowling is still alive and producing people who want to participate in the sport.

Not going to be a spoiler but I'm pretty sure Barnes is happy with the switch. Especially with the giant bonus he just got for his semi match at Japan cup.
